I know in the big grand scheme of things this isn't a big deal, but to me it is. I take ALOT of pictures, we have about 70 full photo albums with a bunch more to be taken care of. Well, Kmart lost 4 rolls of film. Including one where my DS broke his first board in TaeKwonDo, and he was walking on sunshine, now that picture is lost.:( I am just holding back the tears, sounds silly I know considering the true struggles people here are going through. Sorry to vent.:(

Oh no how horrible...I hope they find them for you!!!! LOTS OF PD ~*~*~*~*~

Ouch!!! Not silly at all. I'm cringing over the thought of losing 4 rolls of film! I take TONS of pictures, too (that's why DH got me the digital ;) ) and I feel *horrible* whenever any get lost. :(

*HUGS* to you, and some PD that they turn up shortly!

Oh I feel for you - it's happened to me too.

Do you think other parents might have snapped a few pics @ TaeKwondo? It couldn't hurt to ask around...maybe you can at least recover that particular shot...

That stinks! How could they lose four rolls? Sorry...I hope they find them!

It's almost like losing memories, but at least you have the real memory still. I hope they find that film. You'd better go digital, you can't lose any film with a digital

Maybe some how they will show up. My dad once received someone else's film. It was of a couple at a baby shower and then pictures of the baby in the hospital and at home. My dad was able to find the people by a car's tag in the picture. A police buddy ran the tag for him and the people got their pictures back. They were extremely happy!

So sorry that happened. I would be upset too. I sure hope they turn up.

{{HUGS}} for you.

Boots

Cool Dad you have there.:D

They might still turn up, don't lose hope.

Here is a tip I read once -- make a card up with your name, address and phone number and always take a picture of it for the first print. Then if they get lost, they will know where to return them to.

I've used Clark photo lab mailers for 19 years, they have never lost a single roll. They issue little id stickers to go on the film canisters.

I totally understand why you are sad! You won't be able to recapture those moments on film again, and you have every right to be sad. (and mad! I sure hope those rolls of film show up!)

I would be sad too! I do hope they find your film for you! :(

Thanks guys. No, the Tae Kwon do pics were one and only's, because no one else brought a camera!

They put out a tracer and I am hopefull, but very reserved. I don't want to get my hopes up.

nativetxn, that is exactly how I felt. I cherish pictures, maybe more than I should. And some of you may know I am a completely sentimental fool, and I don't throw out ANY form of memories. So this is truly hard.

My mom just recently got someone elses photos, and she is very actively searching to find the owners. They are from a family reunion so most have name tags on them. I only hope that if someone does get my pics that they search me out!

I'm sorry, and you do have every right to be sad. I would hate for that to happen. :( I hope they find them.

That happened to me once at Walmart. I had 4 rolls from a WDW trip and one did not come back. They put a tracer on it and it did turn up. Ever since then, I always use the 1 hour service, so I know it does not leave the store. I always put an address label on the roll. I just got my first digital camera, so I don't have to worry anymore.

I hope it turns up! :D

Sorry to hear that, Vija. Hoping they locate them and you get a call soon. {{Hugs}}

:( :( That is a bummer. I would be very sad too. I hope they turn up. Let us know.
