It seems more and more the DVC Member's website is slow or you can't log on at all. I have seen here and on other sites including Facebook similar complaints. I am sure this has nothing to do with Disney continuing to outsource their IT overseas and replace current cast members with H1-B exchange workers..smjj:confused3:confused3

DVC is apparently changing the look of the member website, but for right now I can't sign on, nor can I initiate a chat with a CM.

I agree with you that DVC's IT difficulties "has nothing to do with Disney continuing to outsource their IT overseas and replace current cast members with H1-B exchange workers." The IT managers and administrators that are ultimately responsible for the IT systems are good ol' Americans. Don't blame some techie sitting in Seoul for decisions made my someone sitting in California or Florida.

All of this IMO has to do with the rapid rate of construction, and then infrastructure of reservations and customer service not keeping pace.....The DVC of today is not nearly as friendly and accommodating of the DVC of 15 years ago...not even close....yet the prics are astronomical compared to then????

I was on the members site this morning and things were fine but now when I try to log on there is a new web page for members. So that may explain today's slowness because the are launching a new member site. I got the chat window to pop up but I did not need to chat at that time. I still can not sign in though.

I was referring to the article in Computer World and a local Orlando paper a few weeks ago about how Disney gave the boot to over 400 cast members and had them replaced by the H1-b workers. Disney stated they were offering all these cast members jobs but as of the article less than 10 had been able to get one...smjj

I, too, got the chat window to pop up. But I had to sign in to the Member website to initiate the chat. Since the sign in feature wasn't working, I couldn't start my chat.

I am being redirected to the DVD sales website whenever I try to get to the members' website. I AM NOT HAPPY! Why can't they just put up a page that explains what is happening with an estimated time of restoral? That's what most corporations do for their customers!!! Off to email Member Satisfaction! I encourage everyone else who is unhappy to do the same.

I've been a member since '93 and I can't believe the difference in customer service since then. IMO, DVC has our money and no longer cares.

I have 8 other timeshares and NONE of them have the problems that Disney has with their web site or wait times on the phone. DVC simply doesn't care about customer satisfaction.

I couldn't agree more!!!

It should not be down at all. Having been in IT for 35 years, we always scheduled our upgrades at night and during holidays to keep to a minimum the customer downtimes. If they are down now it is due to a technical glitch. I also aggree they should just have a message indicating they are having problems and not redirect us to a infomercial about the joys of DVC ownership....smjj

I've been complaining about Disney Member website for years, and Disneystore.com I've gotten surverys about "my online experience" and have always given not so good reviews. I've called and emailed too. Apparently nothing changes.

took quite awhile to book something yesterday. today trying to change a waitlist and keep getting the maintenance issues.

maybe the new site will be better

By any chance, do you own any timeshares with DRI (Diamond Resorts International)? I am a recipient of a deed transfer (the whole thing started back in February)...things were recorded in Orange County over a month ago. Finally got the "go ahead" from attorney, contacted DRI via their website three weeks ago, got a "canned" response that they will reply to my inquiry in one to two business days. 5 days later, no reply. I send another e-mail. No response. Send another e-mail a few days ago, received the same "canned response" about one to two business days. I can't do anything reservation-wise until we do the ownership paperwork....can't even have access to their member website. And no helpful phone numbers.

Disney websites have been nortoriously slow for years.....so it can't be the outsourcing. I have to say, the things that have been added to the member website are very helpful....love the RAT especially. I have not yet encountered a "mistake" when making reservations or anything. Just the slowness is maddening. Especially when everyone is trying to get on at the same time at "busy" times. All the "great stuff" available via the website means less and less "real interaction" with people. I kind of miss the old days when we were all kind of in the dark and just called for a reservation when our 11 month window opened. And called to try and switch at 7 months...back when there were only a few WDW DVC's.

I have been able to get on the member website a couple of times....and each time I see something different. Now I am locked out again. I guess the phone lines are super busy today.

For what it's worth....the disboards are misbehaving today also. I know they did some kind of server migration last night....with more on the way on the weekend. But a lot of my "buttons" are blank and I am clicking on them by memory.

Only Disney can get away with making billions in record profits and not fixing the basics like websites, phone hold times, and booking ADR's.

Talk about dysfunctional.

Yes, it is bad. It takes me several attempts to log in now. I thought it was just my slow computer at home, but guessing it isn't. I have to book my May 2016 trip next week, so I'm sure I'll have my issues.

I just logged on, no problem. Same website, don't see any new design structure to the site. Go figure.

Yes they have been but the last year or so they have gone from bad to really, really bad....smjj

The worst is when I try making dining reservations on the regular WDW website with MDE. It is easier to call!!! But....when choosing fast passes, there is no problem for me at all. Even from my i-phone. I sometimes joke with DH when making dining reservations....I'm going to do my nails, let me know when it stops "searching".

I was able to log on a little while ago. ??? The different stuff I saw early this morning is gone and it is back to what it was. I guess they discovered it was not quite ready for prime time and are working on it. Don't know why they would do this when it is the 7 month booking window for December. I sometimes wonder if there is a wall of silence between departments. Like, the IT people just do their job but have no idea why they are doing it...they have no idea what the 7 month booking window is, they just write their code or whatever it is that these smart people do.

I use another website that has nothing to do with Disney...but I do pay a monthly fee for it. It also has problems, and every time they announce something "new" is coming, we know there will be a few weeks of weird stuff going on.

That's because they were forced to revert back to the site that existed before the "upgrade". Let's hope they do some better testing before they try to go live with these changes again!!!
