Someone at work was asking me if I had kids, and I told her I didn't have kids of my own, but I have six nieces and nephews who I adore to no ends. She wanted to know what they were dressing up as for Halloween.
As I made my way back to my desk, I got to thinking about how blessed I am to have these six kids in my life. They are all polite, kind, friendly, and loving kids. I just brim with pride when they accomplish something, and do whatever I can to support and encourage them when they are going through a rough stretch. I've been known to cry watching them perform at sporting events, recitels, and other events.
I feel like saying a few words about each of them. Feel free to hit the back button and return to the CB.
Kevin is the oldest at 15. He is a great kid--a great role model for his sister, and cousins. He is a great hockey player and is very considerate of his elderly grandmothers.
Rob is 12, and he is very creative. He is very gifted musically--he can pick up any instrument and play pretty much any song by ear. And he loves playing.
Kerrianne is 11 going on 40. She is a kid who wants to be an adult. She is very nurturing and caring. And always so willing to help.
Michelle is also 11. Like her brother Kevin, she is also a great hockey player. She is very gifted athletically, and plays four different sports.
Catie is 10, and she loves cats and nature. She is a very persistant and determined kid. If she wants something, she'll do whatever it takes to get it.
Matthew is 8, and he is one of the most loveable kids you'll ever met. He is just so kind and caring to everyone he meets.
These six kids are my life, and I can't believe how blessed I am to have them in my life.
