I almost died today in a spray tan booth....

So I decide that I want to spray tan today for the 1st time since we leave for Disney on Saturday and I don't have any time to really tan soooooo I go to the salon, watch the two minute video on how to shove cotton balls up each nostril, put that blocking cream on with a Q-tip so I don't streak and finish it all off with that cute pair of goggles. I should have left right then but I thought how hard could this be. I go to the booth and the girl puts the shower cap on my head, shows me how to use the cream and off she goes. Her last words were "you may get a little startled when the spray starts"
I hit the start button and the spray shoots out. It's freezing cold and it takes my breath away. I gasp for air which opens my mouth and then I start to panic cause now I am inhaling the spray so I close my mouth and try to breathe through my nose which is clogged up with the cotton balls. I start breathing like I'm in labor, you know that short huffing type breathing and all I could think was I'm gonna die right here and I'm naked!!! Finally after the spray stops now I think o.k. I'm gonna turn around and compose myself soooo I turn around, close my mouth and start breathing through my nose but then the spray shoots me in the back and again I gasp, inhale the tan and start panicking. All I kept thinking was if I keep breathing like this I'm gonna pass out. When it was all over I got out of the booth, composed myself, toweled off and thought two things.
1. Was this really worth $25.50
2. I looked exactly the same color as when I first walked in.

I think I'll go by the self tan the next time I want some color.

Me too!!

Basically the exact same thing you went through.. Ross from friends did. He had to keep going back because it was uneven. Soo hard to explain. I am sure someone can do better

They tell Ross to count to 3, I think, and turn so it will spray his back. He messed up on his counting - one Mississippi, two Mississippi. Anyway, it sprayed him over and over. He kept going back to get it even and would keep getting sprayed in the front so he just got darker and darker. At least thats how I remember it...

LOL! Oh that is great! I know - they don't warn you that the spray will be cold! My salon never gives us cotton though - they just say, hold your breath.

Ross was the first one I thought of too since that episode just aired 2 days ago I think. Too funny! Poor Ross - first the 'unnatural' tan and then the extra white teeth. I really miss Friends!

I didn't see that show...but that is too hilarious! Too bad I missed it!
