I-95 FYI Today

We drove back home today, I-95 was almost empty !!! Except for 1 small slow down North of Richmond everything was smooth sailing. We left at 4am
and arrived tonight at home at 8pm in South Jersey. Total 16 hours. we stopped 2xs for Gas/etc. and 3xs to take a break/bathroom.
Only construction was the Bridge on 295 around Richmond,being it was Sun, no slow down.
2 Drivers,me and DW with DD (15) and puppy in the back.

We just wanted to let all you folks know that are driving northbound, btw: we stayed 8 mph over posted limit,
with speed control thru all states.

Awesome driving time! Ohhh I wish I could have that luck sometimes on my trips back to NJ! I never done the drive in less than 20 hours (I am in northern NJ). Always some hour-long delays in a traffic jam or construction zone somewhere!!

I am driving home to NJ after my Disney trip next month, and I can only hope for such luck (I am always in fear of that Washington traffic!!!).

I think iis a lot about luck, I have driven back and forth at least 2 times a year, sometimes more, for the last 20 years, at all different times day/night.
The traffic from Baltimore to Richmond can be dicey, as you know. I always bypass Baltimore, by going via Rt 13 at the Del. Mem. Bridge to 301, 50 to 95 at the Beltway. ( a little slower but much less traffic etc).
For some reason though, the Northbound trip has always been quicker than Southbound, I havent figured that out yet???
