Hype about Chef Mickey's?

I think the dinner is awful, but the breakfast is a must do every visit!!

We think the food is good, but my boys still love it for the atmosphere most. Today we booked for December and my now 15yo son said, "We have to do Chef Mickeys!" He still loves twirling his napkin around.

It's all about the atmosphere. The dinner was completely mediocre and we will not do it again.

Try breakfast. They probably can't screw up breakfast.

Heh Heh... especially if the mashed potatoes are ON the napkin, unbeknownst to Minnie who proceeds to twirl her napkin and slings mashed potatoes all over my husband, who, needless to say, was quite shocked.

BTW, We've eaten at Chef Mickey's twice for dinner, and really enjoyed it. My husband enjoyed it less than the rest of us, but I think he's gotten over wearing mashed potatoes for an hour or so.

The only part that I did not like was both times there are A LOT of parents allowing their children to run wild. At the dessert table they had some really lovely Key Lime pies and chocolate mouse pies out with thin chocolate mickey heads on top, and I watched someone's child stick their fingers into every single one of them. There is usually candy all over the floor from the sundae bar as well, but again, I don't blame Disney, you should have seen all of the wild indians in there! It didn't stop me from enjoying myself, but I felt bad for the employees there, it was hard to keep up with the mess around the desserts.
