The resort is located behind SSR, and there is a quick way to avoid the traffic jam at the intersection at the entrence to Hotel Plaza Blvd. at 535. After waiting at that intersection one night for almost half an hour, we never made that mistake again! It was quick and easy to get to and from the parks. They offered shuttles, but we had a rental.

Could you please explain me more what was the "route" you took to avoid the traffic? I'm staying there next mont (with a rental car also) and that information would come in handy

If you are not staying on Disney property, Gaylord Palms and Hyatt GC are 2 of the most impressive resorts in Orlando. Great hotel, great pool, great dining options and a great golf course. Have a great trip.
