Jeeez ...

We were going to take our MH to our little place in Polk City for the winter. Planned on leaving Saturday and hit FW for a couple of days.

Has anyone seen the track of Jeanne ... you can see little skid marks in the ocean where she did a quick loop (yes a loop) and is headed straight for Orlando.

Who is writing this script ????? This hurricane season will make great reading for generations to come, but right now its a pain.

I guess we will just wait and see what happens, and feel sorry for those folks on the east coast of FL, again. They have a lot more to worry about than I do ...

I think I read on another post that when Ivan was predicted to hit FL again, Ft.W was calling guests and telling them not to come. How far in advance do they do that? We're planning on driving down on Sat. morning and as of now are still planning on doing so. BTW, we're staying in the cabins.

CajunGirl: Ivan already came through again a few days ago. It's long gone - up in Texas now.

We're not worrying about Jeanne right now. So far it looks like it will just be a rainstorm! Keeping our fingers crossed!!

Hi! Nope - we moved down here to beautiful, hurricane-filled, Florida in March!

We decided we were spending way too much money travelling back and forth to Disney 3-4 times a year from MN! So, we needed to be closer!

Just checked Jeanne's track. It has shifited slightly west and is now heading towards Orlando. Hopefully it will move back.

We postponed leaving until tommorow, but now maybe we will wait a little longer.

Glad to hear that someone made the move and survived it! We are moving down to Florida next summer and there is soooo much to do first! Are you all settled in and happy with the move?

Yes, there was a lot to do at first! Finding jobs, a place to live, deciding if we wanted movers or if we wanted to move everything ourselves, etc, etc. But, we lived through it, and now we're very happy with the move!
