It's official this morning Jeanne is a hurricane. If all of us that are going in the next few days get together and blow in an easterly direction maybe we can push Jeanne out to sea!!! :o  :hyper:

I'm blowing! I'm blowing!

Anyone else feeling faint?

(Now wouldn't it be just my luck if THIS is the post that the Tag Fairy notices!:earseek: )

Oh my gosh, that is so funny! I don't think you would want to have that as your tag! LOL I'm going in 5 days too and oddly enough, I'm not worried about Jeanne. Call me crazy but I just don't think it will be a problem. (and believe me, I've been called crazy many, many times) ;)

EVERYONE point your fans to South East and turn them on HIGH!!

We're supposed to be leaving on Wed. That's probably when the winds and rain will get here. Hopefully there will just be airport delays and no cancelled flights - for anyone.

My thoughts are with all of you Floridians. How much does Mother Nature think you can take!!? My vacation can always be postponed.

You asked for it, you got it, Toyota !!!

In Birmingham now, Ivan is bearing down on our house as we speak. We're praying to be able to drive starting Sat. I would be devastated if we have to leave Orlando due to Jeanne. 9 days away from the hell that we're expecting here would be heaven.
keep those fans pointed east . . . and say some prayers for us here in Alabama too.

It's been one of those days!

Thanks, Tag Fairy!

aacck we are leaving in a few short days also-- I am alittle worried about it but I am not canceling no way, no how :rolleyes1

do you know what the path is yet and when it will hit land?

this really does blow!!!!!

Thanks, Tag Fairy!
That is a great tag! Good job TF!

I have all my fans blowing East, (I didn't want to say "I'm blowing" for fear of the TF) because I leave for FL next Friday. Keeping fingers crossed!

I also think Jeanne shouldn't cause too much of a problem. You just never know.... Darn Hurricanes!

Thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the path of Ivan the Terrible!

Current predictions show it to head north of Florida. Timing would be around Tuesday. Of course this will change at least 10 times.:teeth:

Got home about 8:00 this morning from fleeing IVAN and found out that Jeanne is out there and they are not to clear on what she is going to do. I think we all can say, this is enough.

Jeanne, leave us alone in the South, we have had enough from your friends and we do not need you to come around.

Is it December yet?

Have you all noticed how different accuweather's path for jeanne and weather.com's path is? Go check it out. I definitely prefer weather.com.

Has anyone noticed if accuweather was accurate with the other 3 hurricane paths? Boy I hope they are all wrong with Jeanne! We all need to blow harder!

Eeeep!

I really hope that the second link is WRONG!!!!!!

Yipes!

Well, if we get stuck in the hotel for a day, I hope I will have access to a power outlet so I can play Sims 2 on my laptop.

Fingers crossed that this storm goes more east. I will help blow!

Although the path on accuweather does not look good for FL, they do state this on another page in their hurricane summary:
<i>
Jeanne should continue to weaken as it interacts with Hispianola and could be reduced to a tropical storm over the next 12 hours. </i>

They also have a page with a graphic showing the different tracks:
http://wwwa.accuweather.com/adcbin/public/headlines.asp?iws=4

I've got my fans blowing
I've said my prayers
I've got my fingers and toes crossed!!!

I just went through Frances and am watching Jeanne. I use
http://www.wunderground.com/tropical and go to Hurricane Jeanne then to Computer Models. This shows all 5 models that the NHC uses.

My prayers are with those having to now deal with Ivan. For those who have never been through a hurricane, it's not the 4 + hours of winds that get you it's the countless wks of clean-up, no power, no phones (my Nextel was out for 5 days) no work for many many and just trying to recover that proves to worse.

May everyone stay safe and if you're headed to WDW loads of pixie dust to all of you!

I'm headed up the 1st weekend in Oct - after having to cancel my Sept trip due to Frances.

What the local news here in New Orleans is saying that they expect what is left of Ivan to steer Jeanne more north and if that does not happen, we would then have to watch it very carefully as it would takes more of a westerly track. OUCH!! :earseek:

Geez. I'm really starting to question how our trip will turn out in a couple weeks. It is just one after another...

Ivan's darn winds and rain are now hitting us in Atlanta. I'm watching those pine tress in the backyard..............

Are there any other depressions out there?
