Hunted

My husband said like half-way through this last episode..if no one wins I'm going to be pissed lol

We both were like that too watching American Ninja Warrior

That was exactly my feeling as the last episode was starting.

I thought the series was mildly interesting. Might watch again if it gets renewed, might not. But if nobody had won, I would have definitely been out.

I'm glad someone one but find it odd that English and her husband didn't get all that much air time this season compared to the other teams.

It seem like if they are focusing on a team, you can figure they are going to be caught soon.

Maybe the producers and hunters found them so boring and so likely to make a boneheaded mistake that they fell off everyone's radar, then popped up to win it! I was a very casual watcher of this show, but that is the way it seemed to me.

And I still can't figure out the whole vacation with their children thing. I am assuming when you are selected for this show that they tell you it will start at some TBD time within a certain period. Why would you then go on a vacation with your children? I'd be planning furiously.

I enjoyed the show this season...hope they bring it back next season. I was confused on who the winners were since I thought it was only going to be one winner...but glad Hilmar and Lee won...didn't really care for English and Stephen but they won too. Although I must say the diversion to the funeral home English staged was brilliant!

Everything, and I mean everything now-a-days is 100% fake. I've watched too much "Adam Ruins Everything" to ever believe in anything ever again. lol Sad but so very true.

I'm not familiar with "Adam Ruins Everything" (I watch very little TV), but I agree that most "reality" TV is fake. I saw maybe the last 15 minutes of the final episode of Hunted a few days ago, my kids were watching it. As I said before, entertaining TV, but it was so blatantly fake. The number of cameras and crews that were everywhere, no way on earth is that spontaneous and unplanned.

Glad Lee and Hilmar won!! I didn't really care about English and Stephen I will say the funeral home thing was brilliant!! There best move hands down. They to me seem to luck into their win. I'm really confused why the hunters were able to enter the yard where the guys were where it was posted no trespassing? To me that wasn't fair.

Like when the guys were hiding behind the dirt piles, and you could see the shadows of the camera and sound people standing over them, while the hunters searched the property. "Hey guys! They might be over there by those camera and sound people standing on dirt piles!"

Now, the thing is, in the show, they have a bank account with $500, but are only allowed to take out $100 at a time. Real-world ATM's let you take out $300 a day I believe. In real life, you need to get as much cash as possible and live off of it on the run. If you're engaged in criminal activity, you probably already have a little cash nest-egg lol.
There are definitely things built into the show that reduce the chances of the "hunted" being able to escape. There is a limit to the area they have to stay in. You mentioned the limit of the money they can withdraw, which right away gives the hunters a location. And in the end, they have to carry the money, on foot to their escape by plane. The deck is definitely stacked against them.

I really liked the show. Me and my sweetie have discussed what we would do if we were on the run. It seems like giving any information to your network of friends is the wrong move. They unwittingly gave out too much information, and the one person, who took $ 500.00 in cash to give info is probably a reality, if it's someone who isn't a close friend. I don't know if the "authorities" would actually pay for info though. The phones were definitely a problem, even the burner phones because the folks at the other end were known, and those phones were easily monitored. If you had to escape right now, what would the "feds" find in your facebook or other social media accounts? You really have to think about what info you've put in there. And the license plate readers....who knew....not me. Camera's everywhere, we don't even really think about just how many places have cameras. I found the show every entertaining. I'd watch a second season for sure.

As someone who works in law enforcement, coworkers and I were annoyed the show "gave away" some of the tricks of the trade.

I thought the same thing. My dad retired as a City detective after being on the force for years and years and I know he wouldn't have been pleased.

I thought someone had mentioned this in an earlier post or maybe I read it somewhere but some parts of the show were filmed after the hunt was over so you could see what was going on during the time being hunted. Having shadows of the film crew would make sense then.
