Hungry Are The Damned! 10/15/07-10/25/07 - COMPLETED W/LOTS OF PICS!!!

Well done zweihund...you could get a job as a Scottish slang interpreter:lmao: how long were you in God's Own Land for?

Sorry I would have replied earlier but busy week combined with "Most Haunted Live in Turin Satan's City" kind of distracted me a bit from Dis....it distracted me a bit from sleeping and going to the toilet in the middle of the night as well:scared1:

<insert thread hijacking here>
I was in Edinburgh from '97-'00 for college. I went to Queen Margaret University College back when it was still Queen Margaret College :goodvibes Haven't been back since but every year I say we'll go next year......sigh.....I miss all the lovely old buildings and the men in kilts. And all the crazy people who think "Nike" is one syllable ;)

I can say "och, aye" with the best of 'em! Hehe.

Tell family to blow it out their butt... check:thumbsup2

Send Brenda and Jay an inflatable raft that has a Spongebob theme so Planky can drive :scared1:

Skip the green bean casserole...unless they are serving it at V&A's...(with lots of wine!!!) (and I mean LOTS OF WINE!!!)

You forgot the shroomies on your dislike list... :sad2:

:lmao: I find that as I grow older I enjoy telling off certain family members. I think it's the Grimace Gene reasserting itself. ;)

Lots of wine is the only way I'll ever be able to eat green bean casserole ... just looking at that stuff in a serving dish makes the bile rise to the back of my throat.

And thanks for remembering the shrooms, but you know ... if I'd included every food item I dislike that list would have never ended. :lmao:

If I recall from my days in Scotland, mingin' means something like gross or nasty.

I am good for all kinds of useless information. :thumbsup2

Thanks Erica - you're just good! :flower3:

No worries about not replying sooner ... I take no offense and as you see, there are always a lot of smart people hanging around here to jump in at a moment's notice. :thumbsup2

So is mingin pronounced min-gin (the second part being pronounced as the alcoholic beverage g-i-n)? Or is it pronounced a different way? I'd like to use it on my co-workers Monday morning but I want to make sure I say it correctly.

I haven't watched Most Haunted in a long time ... was this a scary installment? Perhaps I'll have to go looking for it ...

Erica, you may hijack this thread any ol' time you want. :upsidedow

Three years in Edinburgh ... **sigh** right now I'd just like to actually get there for once in my life. Stupid work always getting in the way of things ... stupid dollar that isn't worth a dollar any more ... stupid me for not going when I was in college... :headache:

"Nike" is one syllable ... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I hope to update later today ... the rest of this is going to be kind of disjointed because we grazed a lot due to Jay's up & down stomach health. I've been struggling with how best to tackle this but I think I'm just going to keep going in chronological order ... it's linear and that makes it easier for me to remember.

Good news - we booked our airfare for October this week!
Bad news - no opium bed for us in Vegas (too much money). :sad2:
Good news - we also renewed our DDE card and I have the new one in my clumsy little hands! :cool1:

Have a good weekend everyone! :grouphug:

PS. :rotfl2: The dancing banana guy looks like he's dancing on the head of the sad smiley!! No wonder he's bummed out - he's probably got a really baaaad headache! :lmao:

:rotfl: I would so love to hear you say mingin and then see the reaction:confused: . You pronounce it "ming-in" and can be used in place of vile or disgusting ie "did you see Britney with no knicker on....aye, she's pure (totally) mingin" or "were you out at the weekend? Oh yeh I was mingin' drunk". You can also describe someone as a minger "did you see Kirsteen's new boyfriend...total minger!!" Hope you enjoyed your cross cultural language lesson for the day:rotfl: .

Most Haunted on Wednesday was the best I've ever seen it was really scary from the start to the end. They are doing a five night live special from Turin which is apparently Satan's city and is one of the most haunted cities in the world...:confused3 who knew? Thursday and Friday were more about funny noises and folk being slapped on the back of the head:lmao: . Hopefully tonight and tomorrow will be back to the Uber-scary stuff:hmghost: :hmghost:

Erica so happy you love Scotland. Edinburgh is fabby. We're not going abroad on holiday this year 'cos we're saving for the Birthday Extraviganza trip summer 2009, but we were thinking of going through to Edinburgh for a couple of nights to explore with the girls. I live half way between Glasgow and Loch Lomond so we're only about 1 1/2h hours drive from your Scottish home town:thumbsup2

Thanks so much!! As you can probably guess we don't see many people from Scotland in this area of the United States. Not that I blame anyone from Scotland for that. If I were visiting the US this area wouldn't be on my top ten list ... there's nothing to see here but rivers, a dilapidated downtown area, and a stainless steel one-half version of the McDonald's golden arches. :lmao:

Oh yeah... and it stinks ... literally. :snooty:

I think I remember seeing previews for Turin and then I promptly forgot. I never knew that it was supposed to be a haunted city either. I guess I'll have to check the local listings and see if it's on. I probably won't be able to sleep after watching it, either. ;)

PS. Is ming-in pronounced with a long "I" sound or a short "I" sound? Or should I be thinking of the letter "E"?

I need to get out more ... :lmao:

Sunday, October 21st - A Little Bit of This and A Little Bit of That ...

This update is going to seem a little odd ... and I don't mean odd in the usual way. I mean that it's kind of jumbled with stuff, but that's how the day ended and who am I to present it any differently? Life is messy and sometimes so is vacation - grab your Swiffer and let's see what happens!

Once we finished with our Scotch and Food Pairing at the Rose and Crown, Jay and I wandered over to the Festival Welcome Center to do some shopping. Sadly two of the items I wanted most - the Utopias and the light blue F&W ladies t-shirt - were gone, but I did manage to find a couple of other things on which to spend money.

We picked up the Festival cookbook, always a must-buy souvenir for us, and we purchased the F&W commemorative trading pin set. Jay and I are not big Disney pin traders but now and then if we see something that we really like or that we're amused by we'll go ahead and buy it. Although these items are not edible (our cat disagrees but that's a story for another time) I thought you all might like to see them.

You don't really expect me to cook anything, do you?
388.jpg

Pins in the box...

Pins outta the box...
390.jpg

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these pins; they're very detailed and gold plated on the front and back. They're also much heavier than the usual pins used for trading and have the special commemorative die-cast stamp on the back with the year and the set number and all that happy crappy.

I'm going to share some other shopping finds with you because while I was taking these pictures Jay was sleeping off his scotch tasting (his tummy started bothering him again so we went back to the villa to let him rest). I bought a terrific new scrapbook to add to the other three that I've never even managed to start on yet. I keep getting distracted by these trip reports ... I'm not really a very artistic, hands-on kind of person anyway. And there is no polite way I can describe how my scrapbooks end up looking, so I'm just not going to - trust me when I say that I'll offend someone if I try to mock myself this time, so you're all going to have to take me at my word that I just suck at the artsie craftie stuff.

Someone could do great things with this scrapbook...too bad I'm not that someone!
393.jpg

We found another "Star Wars" pin that we couldn't resist... I only wish now that I'd bought a second one so that I could have sent it to Jusmom's son. I'm not sure if she's even reading at this point, but a few months back she very kindly sent us an HRC pin from her city and I've been trying to think of a good way to repay her thoughtfulness. Too bad I came up with such a great idea six months after our trip.

A Spudtrooper!!!

I bought a sweatshirt for Grimace to thank her for watching our fur-baby while we were cavorting in WDW without him. The funny thing about Grimace is that she loves WDW clothing... as long as she doesn't have to pay for it. She wears the stuff to work and when people ask her if she has just recently returned from a visit she can say, "Oh, no, I haven't been to WDW. My daughter and her husband like to go there and they brought this back for me - wasn't that sweet?"

Does that make your gag-reflex kick in, because it sure does mine! :lmao:

Grimmie's present
403.jpg

And then I bought me a present to make up for losing out on the Utopias and the spiffy blue F&W shirt that suddenly was only available in Barbie-doll sizes - I may be somewhat slender but I cannot wear a petite-small ... I like large because cotton shrinks. I found this t-shirt in the Beach Club Marketplace and it really caught my eye because it was so different and just looked fun.

404.jpg

By this point in the late afternoon / early evening I was growing hungry.

What???

You heard me right; I was hungry.

Jay had the same reaction. But since he was feeling better again after his nap he agreed to go wander the World Showcase with me and watch me eat. It turned out that the on-again, off-again rain showers kept the crowds to a minimum that night, so we had a very enjoyable time just wandering around the slightly damp World Showcase up through Illuminations.

My first food-stop of the evening was France, which has always been one of my favorite F&W booths. This year their offerings included the following:

Beverages: Hobnob Chardonnay; Chateau Haut-Mondain Bordeaux Rouge; Sparkling Pomegranate Kir; Bernard Sparr Extrem Riesling; and St. Germain Red Cocktail.

Food: Escargot Persillade en Brioche; Quiche au Fromage de Chevre; and Coupe de Sorbets Champagne, Framboise, and Chocolat Blanc.

Since I was just eating for myself on this visit, I ordered the Quiche and a St. Germain Red Cocktail.

Key-shhhhhh and Booooooo-zzzzzzzz
405.jpg

Compared with previous years offerings, this little guy just didn't measure up. For one thing, there were far too many sun-dried tomatoes baked into this wee little quiche. I'm not a big fan of crunchy tomatoes ... I like mine fresh, right off the vine if possible ... but I can live with one or two dried tomatoes for reasons of color or texture. Having said that, when every bite I took yielded a big, honking, dried out tomato corpse I was less than pleased. To quote me, "I don't like stuff in my food." :rotfl2:

And ... just some friendly advice to our friends in France: think about changing your freaking menu next year. You hail from the land of delicious foodstuffs ... dazzle us with your bounty!! Every year you guys give us snails, and some kind of quiche or tart, and a dessert - GET OUT OF YOUR RUT!!

Ahem.

Where was I? Ah, yes ... the St. Germain Cocktail. I had no idea what this was supposed to be; the menu board read as follows: St.Germain Liquor, Vodka and Cranberry Juice. It seemed like a pretty safe bet, and France has always been reliable when it comes to interesting and tasty booze, so I ordered one ... for $7.00. Thankfully this was a terrific drink! Similar to a cosmo but with a more ... subtle and almost flowery taste. Once we got home I began doing research on St. Germain Liquor and this is what I found...

St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur is 20% abv. / 40 proof artisinal French liqueur that is available in limited quantities. It is a very light pale gold color and a medium light body. The aroma is primarily flowers and fruit, think of pears and lychee, and is lightly sweet and tart on the nose. The taste is like the aroma, very floral plus lychee's and pears, with maybe the slightest hint of citrus. It has a refreshing tartness up front, a mild sweetness in the middle, with a long finish of the two combined. The taste and smell stays with you for quite a while, filling you mouth and nose with its luscious fruit and flowers.

- credit to Slashfood -

This is the first liqueur to be made from Elderflowers, which grow in the French Alps and can only be harvested for a very brief time each spring. Apparently this was just released in the US during 2007. I liked it so much that I ordered a bottle from an on-line distributor - no one in Stinktown carries this stuff ... what a surprise. Here's a picture because the bottle is just too cool!

It looks like perfume

From France we eventually ended up in Germany, and now that I think about it from an historical perspective this makes a lot of sense ... And no offense is meant to either Germans or French ... it's just that your respective countries spent so much time invading each other (pre-and-post unification) during the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries that my statement struck me as somewhat funny. I know my sense of humor is a little weird at times and now I'm starting to ramble so you know what ... be offended or not, it's your choice but I meant no harm and I laugh with no malice. :goodvibes

Germany was offering the following:

Beverages: SA Prum Blue Slate Riesling Kabinett; SA Prum Essence Riesling; SA Prum Riesling-Spatlese; Schloss Reinhartshausen Riesling; Becks; and Becks Octoberfest.

Food: Spaetzle with Creamy Mushroom Ragout; Debriziner Sausage with Sauerkraut in a Pretzel Roll; and Apple Strudel.

You know what Germany? We get it. You're famous for your rieslings. But stop trying to shove it down our throats already. I don't want sweet wine with my mini hot dog ... I want beer.

What's that?

Your tap is tapped?

No beer?

:faint:

Upon being revived by my loving husband, I proceeded to further insult the Germans by ordering a bottle of Dasani and a pretzel roll without sauerkraut.

I had to stop the CM three times from piling sauerkraut on that little sausage. I know I probably gave all Americans a bad name by refusing to eat this German taste-treat in its original presentation, but I loathe cabbage in all its insidious forms and glamours.

This pretzel roll is nekkid!!!
407.jpg

Yummy! I liked this just fine ... and I think I may have ended up further horrifying the Germans by smearing brown mustard all over it once the picture was snapped. But overall I thought it was quite tasty - the sausage was actually somewhat spicy, it had a good flavor, and was very juicy - and the pretzel roll was soft and slightly salty. A perfect combination that could have only been improved upon with a nice draught of beer.

Once I finished this little snack the skies opened up and we took cover in the German shopping district. I always heave a sigh over the Steinbach Nutcrackers and I found one that I really wanted but just couldn't bring myself to shell out $300 for it. The interesting thing is that I found that same nutcracker at a store here at home this past Christmas and it was the exact same price! I guess WDW doesn't always mark-up ... or else this store had marked down ... :confused3

Anyway, we eventually found ourselves in Arrabis Brothers which is another favorite of mine. And Jay bought me a little birthday present ... it's so pretty!

Sparkly!

Now that's a close up! How many moles did you count?

Prior to the start of Illuminations we went back to France and pillaged the Boulangerie Patisserie for in-room snacks and breakfast provisions. The result being ...

Chocolate eclairs!!!

By the way, those pills are mine; don't ask for them at the Bakery because you'll only confuse the CMs. I take lots of pills every day to keep my intestines in decent working order; and then I take more pills to keep my joints in decent working order; and then I take special multi-vitamins to make up for all the food my system doesn't really absorb. Huh, doesn't absorb look funny? There are certain words that don't look right even when they're spelled correctly and that's one of them. Eh ... English is a weird language.

Thus ends the day ... how unsatisfied are you? ;)

The next review will be lunch at the ESPN Club and then more snacking around the World Showcase. Thanks as always for reading - I love you guys!

 Okay "MING" as in the Emperor from Flash Gordon and "IN" as in the opposite of out...roll it all together and you get "your town sound mingin":rotfl: ...it can also be used to describe how something smells:sick: ...this is really mad you'll have to let me know how you get on freeking out your colleagues.

Perfect explanation! I giggled like crazy at the Flash Gordon reference ... :rotfl2:

And there are definitely times when I would say that St. Louis is "mingin."

Thanks again! :goodvibes

"Nike" is one syllable ... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

& Nike's are called Trainers over there too... :confused3

Should have put the dancing smilie next to him... it would have looked like Smilie abuse... :cool1:

Not sure about the moles, but I spy only 1 foot and possibly a toe which just backs up that long held tale (and rumor) that Bendy only has ONE LEG!!! :rotfl2:

Oh.. and do you really have to take as many pills as I do??? :sad2:

Great report as usual! Love the t-shirt, love the pins and I gotta tell ya that pretzel roll looks delish! :cloud9:

Finally got caught up, Brenda!:goodvibes Love the tee shirt! All your food pictures are fabulous as always. Makes me very hungry, but right now I have to go make blimp-shaped rice krispy treats and green slime smoothies for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice awards. Doesn't that sound tasty?;)

Great update!!

I love, love, love the Minnie-holding-Sushi pin!! Two of my favorite things on one pin!

So sorry about the opium bed; it sounded and looked devine! I guess it wasn't like renting a cabana at the GF, huh? ;)

I love that you scrapbook like me--in your imagination! I have a laundry basket with two pre-planned scrapbooks (you know, just add your photos), a scrapbook kit complete with digital recorder built in to preserve your verbal memories, and a Mickey scrapbook, papers and stickers--all just waiting to be loved and used! THEY'RE STILL IN THEIR WRAPPERS!!!!:rotfl2: We should get together and "scrapbook" over a glass of wine!

Never too much Riesling!

Jay is so sweet!!:lovestruc Was the bracelet a surprise while you were doing something else?

And the pastries look mmmm, mmmm, good!

Cute! Didn't see those at the Festival kiosks. Guess I should have gone to the Welcome Center. I guess I will this year. ;)

Mine didn't seem to have too much "stuffz" in my little tartlet. I also had the cute little snails in tiny bread cups. I thought they were all tasty.

And ... just some friendly advice to our friends in France: think about changing your freaking menu next year. You hail from the land of delicious foodstuffs ... dazzle us with your bounty!! Every year you guys give us snails, and some kind of quiche or tart, and a dessert - GET OUT OF YOUR RUT!!

I like these offerings before than the frog leg chowder from a couple years ago. Sure, it tasted like chicken. But still, I like the snail critters better. It's like I'm discussing Survivor: Food and Wine - France.

You know that's why I thought you and Mister Disney would get along so well. You both love to give us lessons. :teacher:

And they both like their booze, too....just sayin'.

Germany was offering the following:

Yeah, no kidding. I did a wine flight at Germany years ago. They were all different Rieslings. Which was cool, I guess, in a way. You can tell which was the sweetest, working your way up to the driest.

What's that?

Your tap is tapped?

No beer?

:faint:

Now that's wrong on so many levels.

And here's the non-nekkid version.

I thought it was yummy even with the yucky kraut on it. ;) And beer would have improved it, true.

Anyway, we eventually found ourselves in Arrabis Brothers which is another favorite of mine. And Jay bought me a little birthday present ... it's so pretty!

Sparkly!

Ooooh. Small shiny object!

Now that's a close up! How many moles did you count?
412.jpg

It looks very nice on, and you're not the only one with "beauty marks". ;)

Prior to the start of Illuminations we went back to France and pillaged the Boulangerie Patisserie for in-room snacks and breakfast provisions. The result being ...

Chocolate eclairs!!!

Now that's what I'm talkin' about, baby!

Assorted French Bakery Goodness...

The next review will be lunch at the ESPN Club and then more snacking around the World Showcase. Thanks as always for reading - I love you guys!

May I have a side order of pills to go with my eclair? You're getting punchy with the "absorb" commentary.

Hey Brenda... I hear Cass rocks on scrapping... I'm sure in between working, and taking care of Rob and Kira...you could bribe her to do some for you... :rolleyes1 (Cass is going to hate me for that one...)

Great update as usual. :goodvibes

Thanks!

& Nike's are called Trainers over there too... :confused3

I learned that from reading Harry Potter!!

Should have put the dancing smilie next to him... it would have looked like Smilie abuse...

It was totally unintentional, but once I saw it I had to comment. ;)

No...you go for the Scotch instead... :woohoo:

& now we know why you run away from home so often...

Now you know why we drink ... why we travel ... why we eat like pigs on vacation ...

Not sure about the moles, but I spy only 1 foot and possibly a toe which just backs up that long held tale (and rumor) that Bendy only has ONE LEG!!!

Oh.. and do you really have to take as many pills as I do??? :sad2:

I can't get away from the one-legged thing to save my life! :lmao:

How many pills do you take? I get 8 daily for the Crohns, 2 for the arthritis, and 2 multi-vitamins. That's not to say that I actually manage to take them all, because I usually don't; but that's what my dosages are supposed to be.

Great report as usual! Love the t-shirt, love the pins and I gotta tell ya that pretzel roll looks delish!

Thanks for stopping by! I loved the pretzel roll - it was quite tasty!

Hi Lori - nice to see you again! Glad you liked the pictures. And the rice krispy treats sound good to me, but I think I'll pass on the smoothies.

Great update!!

I love, love, love the Minnie-holding-Sushi pin!! Two of my favorite things on one pin!

Hi Ann - thanks for reading! I wish I could have taken a better picture of those pins. It's hard to tell but the detail on the sushi is amazing - there are actually several different shades of colors. Very cool!

So sorry about the opium bed; it sounded and looked devine! I guess it wasn't like renting a cabana at the GF, huh? ;)

Hi Jamie! Yeah, I was bummed about the opium bed, but Jay made a really good point - the two of us are too restless to spend the entire day lolling at the pool. We can usually manage about two hours before one of us (usually me) starts to get fidgety. So I guess in the long run it's not such a big deal, but it sure would have been fun to try ... just once.

I always have the best of intentions when it comes to scrapbooking and I have crap all over the house that I've saved to use as accents and memory pieces. The scrapbooks in my mind look gorgeous ... the reality is a lot less appealing! :rotfl2:

I'm up for scrapbooking your way any time!

Jay is so sweet!!:lovestruc Was the bracelet a surprise while you were doing something else?

And the pastries look mmmm, mmmm, good!

Jay is the best, but he doesn't really do surprises. We were together when we found the bracelet but that works out best because then everyone gets what they want (Brenda: something pretty and girly; Jason: something inexpensive that keeps the wife happy).

And those pastries were scrumptious! Now I remember why I love France!!

I :lovestruc my Swiffer duster, just like the crazy lady from the commercials who dances and Swiffers your house without anyone asking.

I'm not sure I'm ever going to be able to look at you without picturing a Swiffer again ... :lmao:

I never made it to the Welcome Center. In my 10 days. Sheesh. But I found the shirt in my size, didn't buy it. At the kiosk near Spaceship Earth. Couldn't find it when I decided I wanted it later. Found lots of other sizes. Grrr.

We looked everywhere for a t-shirt in my size, too. Double Grrrrrr.

Cute! Didn't see those at the Festival kiosks. Guess I should have gone to the Welcome Center. I guess I will this year.

They had a lot of cool merchandise at the Welcome Center. They were selling a lot of cookbooks, too, from guests chefs who'd made or were making appearances. We didn't buy any because we figured that we could find them for less at home.

 I'll pass. I'm not a Star Wars fan.

We think the Mr. Potato Head Spud Trooper and Darth Tater are really funny so we had to buy the pins to go along with the real versions we have here at home. We're dorks on so many levels that I stopped counting years ago.

Awww, but you get Good Daughter Brownie Points© (There I go again. Copyrights this time, not the trademark thing. Heheheh.)

Thanks. Copyrighting now? You kill me ... :lmao:

Wow, that's a cute tshirt! It's still Barbie-doll sized, though.

I love this shirt - it's so soft and it just feels girly (there's that word again). It's not Barbie-doll sized but thanks anyway.

Mine didn't seem to have too much "stuffz" in my little tartlet. I also had the cute little snails in tiny bread cups. I thought they were all tasty.

We went back to France the following day and Jay tried the snails then - he really liked them too.

I like these offerings before than the frog leg chowder from a couple years ago. Sure, it tasted like chicken. But still, I like the snail critters better. It's like I'm discussing Survivor: Food and Wine - France.

It just seems like they don't mix it up a lot from year to year. And by they I mean whoever decides on the menu for all the food booths. For example ... the only change Mexico made between 2006 and 2007 was to remove chicken from their quesadilla. I'm sure money and prep time factor into those decisions, but I still think it would be nice to see a bit more variety. Right now it's as if the French are stereotyping themselves ... but then again, maybe they are. Perhaps this is all just an uspoken satire on the assumptions Americans make about the French diet? ;)

You know that's why I thought you and Mister Disney would get along so well. You both love to give us lessons. :teacher:

And they both like their booze, too....just sayin'.

Mister Disney is waaaaaay better at this than I am. I'm not even close to his league.

Yeah, no kidding. I did a wine flight at Germany years ago. They were all different Rieslings. Which was cool, I guess, in a way. You can tell which was the sweetest, working your way up to the driest.

I don't mind a good riesling now and then, but when I think about alcoholic stereotypes and Germany ... I think beer. :lmao:

Now that's wrong on so many levels.

Tell me about it.

And here's the non-nekkid version.
DSCN1192.jpg

I thought it was yummy even with the yucky kraut on it. ;) And beer would have improved it, true.

Thanks for posting that so everyone can see what it was supposed to look like in its "normal" form.

Ooooh. Small shiny object!

It looks very nice on, and you're not the only one with "beauty marks".

Shiny and pretty - me likey very much! Thanks for the compliment and as for the "beauty marks" I stopped counting those years ago, too!

Now that's what I'm talkin' about, baby!

Best eclair, evah! The French are pasty gods.

May I have a side order of pills to go with my eclair? You're getting punchy with the "absorb" commentary.

I know ... but it's just one of those words that messes with me, so I thought I'd share the love with you all!

Love the bracelet. Love the pills. Love the shirt, you Barbie doll, you.:thumbsup2

Hi Sistah Paige! Thanks for reading and can I just say: Blesh your hearth? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Barbie-doll my butt ... :lmao:

Hey Brenda... I hear Cass rocks on scrapping... I'm sure in between working, and taking care of Rob and Kira...you could bribe her to do some for you... :rolleyes1 (Cass is going to hate me for that one...)

Cass is terrific at scrapbooking - I've seen some of her digital stuff and it's amazing. She should be working professionally at it and earning a fortune. I'd never ask her to do that for me ... I might ask her for a few tips, but I think you have to put your own sweat and tears into your own memory-making.

Gack! I sound like a Hallmark commercial. I'm gonna go get some booze! :lmao:
