But yeah, that's always been the problem. People want to sit and chat with the Host. I usually say Hi, maybe a quick How are you? and/or compliment on the new releases/theme, etc. and then I bee-line right for the porter or whatever...

Still, it's understandable, really, why people want to chum up with the Hosts. Many feel this will get them brownie points in one way or another (and the Hosts/Staff have openly rewarded Helpers in the past, so they reinforce this ideology), others just look up to the Hosts as "Cool People" and want to be their friends.

Alas... this can make for a slow queue. I often wonder why the Host doesn't wait in the "last" room after the prize is awared... :scratchin

Yes..CHILL people... there will be plenty..infact I see that host Hula's Pumpkin Patch room is open again tomorrow and again Thursday...so thast just thids weeks alone. You will have pleny of time to get a prize...

Now as for the prize... well...for new people..they will be happy to just get soemthing from Halloween...but for us who have been here a while... hmm...well guess we'll just haev to wait and see...hopfully we'll have a couple new surprises for us!!!

And for the record to the ones who are surprised we are complaining about what was going on. The line at 1 point was moving slower than at the host trading events with about 1 person per minute getting in if you were lucky. The room description said come in and get your free prize, not come in and complain about not getting your dreams item, or come in and get a dreams item, or come in and hold up the door frame. This is exactly why host rooms where you don't have to choose a teleporter should be set up with ride pieces to get everyone in and out with no one just hanging out. The more that get through the better.

And it's just a free prize, yes one that some of us did'nt get last year because we were not here than. If you already have it good for you, but that does'nt give some of you the right to go into a host room that clearly states the prize and what the room is for, and hold up the line by hanging out. Give the newer people a chance to aquire the items. If you want to complain about what you did'nt get in dreams month, use the contact us button.

Realizing of course you were being sarcastic...I can't help but comment that after over 2 years I am not all surprised by the offering. I said several times that I expect much the same as last year. I am sure there will be a few surprizes as Bell said but if I remember they alternated prizes last year. Ghost pin some events and halloween bat bags I believe for the others. So it is possible they may still alternate or change it up but ultimately it is in fact a "free" prize and I have brought my expectations down to a reasonable level. When they decide to WOW us with new stuff I will be happy, if they don't I am a lot less disappointed.

I'm right with you Adventuredaz. Yeah, they released those Bat Bags mixed in with Ghost Pins, as you said. Also they had some simple quests throughout the month that gave those away too, as I recall, so with mules you could really stock up. And I really do think it's swell for new people to get an opportunity to get some of the old stuff. Honestly, that's great! I just wish VMK would prioritize... Wow us with the new stuff, first! Then hand out the retreads... that's just me.

But then people would complain "I waited in line expecting the New Thing and all I got was this lousy bag from last year" ... You can't please everyone... Heh... Of course, if they listed the prize in the Event Comments (as they have done in the past), that would help... As always, communication is the key!

...Yes, I admit that I am bitter, but only about the favortism shown to Host stalkers. Other than that, I'm fine.

I was like number bazillion in queue and never got in. It is okay though, I do not observe Halloween so these items are not important to me. I just wanted to get the item for somebody who may have missed out. I missed out too.

Okay. I went in to the host event at approximately 1:20 -1:30 EST today. (It was just before I had to leave for an appointment...Normally I would not remember the time.)

Hula was not there. I did however see 2 players directing people in to the single teleporter.

In many events before I have seen players assist Hula when she stepped out of the room or dc.
I have no idea why she was not there, but was grateful to the 2 people that were helping to guide players.

I know ppl want to sit and talk with the host, I would have loved to as well but since so many ppl were waiting I quickly said a thank you and moved on.
True we will have plenty of chances this moon to get the bag but I do understand the frustrations of everyone. Alot of days I don't even make it in the host room in time since most of the host games start while I am at work so this might have been my only chance all month.

I've sent this suggestions to Contact Us before, to no avail. Perhaps you'll have better luck?

Here is a thought. Maybe the Host's idea is to keep the q slow so that the item remains somewhat rare? Hula will probably change it. I have noticed that she sometimes changes her rooms when she sees how they run the first time.

Oh and DisneyDreams, I really wasn't addressing anyone in particular in my first post. It was just a general comment to promote a theory I had about some (not all) who got the castle suite. You quoted me first, however, so I must have hit a nerve some how in your conscience and for that, I apologize.

- I am fairly certain there is no intent to keep the item rare based on its availability last year. Show of hand of ppl who have them in a store room?

- The VERY simple answer to keep that line moving was for people to get out of the doorway. Fellow players were created the hold up. People were standing in the door way for a VERY long period of time. There was 1 port. All you had to do was go through it. People just stood there. My guess? Got a pass, went afk and landed in the door. 15 ppl do that and the rest of vmk sits in line forever. Room design won't change that. Only player behavior will.
