Just heard on the news that this cheque won't be coming on the 10th anymore, it MAY be here on Dec 17th. Good Grief this government is totally driving me crazy.

Yeah, they just seem to do whatever they want anymore - they probably used it for their Christmas bonus' and now have to decide on something else to tax us on to come up with the money! I want to move to Australia where, from everything I have read, has a very fair and well liked government system, but my husband won't budge But, oh well, I can't get started on my view of the Canadian government or we'll be here all week!

Maybe the radio talk shows gave the government the kick in the pants they needed to off their butts and send our cheques.

I doubt it - since you heard it only three days ago. Also, I was unable to find the story on any other news site (or through Google).

Either way, happy to have some extra money in my account.

I guess that mine has also came, but if I tell DH, he will have it out and spent on stuff other than christmas presents. Let me think, Tim Hortons, pizza, fishing stuff.

I just don't think that a single radio show (whose details can only be found using google cache) changed the government's plans. More likely that they (the radio show) was just wrong (or rather, their source was).

But, hey, stranger things have happened.
