HS Rise of Resistance movíng to standby on September 23!

150 minute wait and the park just technically opened, and crowd levels are a 1 out of 10 for Hollywood Studios today (according to touring plans) ... will be interesting to see what wait times are like later in the day.

Also would be interesting to see actual wait times and if 150 minutes is accurate. Lines app will hopefully provide some good data today.

EDIT - Now at a 180 minute wait time.

With the lower crowds, I think it may be more interesting to watch the standby time as we head into the later next week closer to the 50th. Especially if Genie+ and individual attraction passes start up before then. We could be seeing the lowest waits now, which could get much worse

Well, it is interesting to watch today because this may give us the low water mark for a non-busy day as well as tell us if and when they will shut down the line due to it being too long.

9:37am and the posted wait is now 220 mins... Won't be surprised if it gets close to 300 minutes sometime today.

Wow - I don't like that. 180 wouldn't surprise me too much, but I figured that would be about peak. It's pretty early. They could be inflating times though as they often do.

Back down to a 150 minute wait time at 10 am. That is actually pretty bad for Disney in my opinion. Today is the first day this is available and that's all the wait is?

150's not too bad. There was probably the initial surge, people who didn't really make the "rope drop" group, and now it is finding it's normal. It will ebb and crest throughout the day. Today is a very low-crowd day though, so we'll see in October

It is an expected crowd level of 1 out of 10 today and there is no Lightning Lane right now to intersect with the standby line. The real test will be once Genie launches and we have higher crowds. For comparison, FoP has a 65 minute wait right now.

I still worry that the line will be insanely long, I maybe wrong about it getting that high today - but on more crowded days and when Genie launches? A 300 minute wait would be terrible.

I understand it's a crowd level 1, but it's also "opening day" for ROTR as a queue attraction. I think we need to at least wait to see what tomorrow brings. I bet a lot of people "rope-dropped" or tried to get there early this morning and that built the line up quickly. It is now 10:30 and ROTR is now listed at 120 minutes.

Twitter users reporting the entire line is in the actual queue only now and nor spilling out and riders getting in and out in 30 min.

I'm just wondering what point in this multi-segmented experience Disney is calling the end of the queue/beginning of the ride. That's vital information for judging the length of the line. Two weeks ago, it took me about 30 minutes to hit the first preshow once my boarding group was called. Then it was another 30 minutes for the rest of it.

Also, I'd like to see what happens once 2:00 hits and people start hopping over to HS. Might hop over from Epcot tomorrow so DH gets a chance to ride while crowds are relatively low (and before Genie interferes with standby).

Wow, even when the posted wait times were much higher the actual wait times in Lines app were closer to 60 mins this morning when it was a posted 150+ wait time. Don't know what the actual wait times are looking like right now, but will be interesting to see.

I'm definitely surprised, today isn't a "sold out" park pass day today for HS though. Will be interested to see moving forward.

They are counting the wait time to the first pre-show. Same way other rides work. I don't know if Park Hopping will heavily influence the line since HS wasn't sold out today for Park Passes. But I would expect the line will get longer once park hopping opens at 2p.

Yeah, this is just more evidence that Disney's attendance numbers are absolutely atrocious right now. This is a ridiculously low wait for ROTR. Posted 75 minutes at 11:30 AM on the first day? I mean, Splash mountain was a longer wait then that in July when I went.

Edit: Touringplans lines app uses user-submitted wait times and is reporting the same thing. 36 minutes, 35 minutes, and 33 minutes submitted by the most recent users.

People in the TPAS forum are reporting that the line was never really 150 or 180 minutes, that at most people were waiting around an hour to hour and fifteen.
Watching a few on social media that said that even in the initial crush they were on and off in 75 minutes. The line dropped quickly after.

Let's see what happens at 2 when hopping opens.
