HS in the afternoon or another day?

Background - Arriving by plane at 11:15 p.m - won't be at resort until 12:30ish - probably not asleep until 1:30 - 2:00 a.m.

This is where I am needing help - I have re-arranged my itinerary and decided not to do Epcot the first day if I couldn't do rope drop so now I have Animal Kingdom / Hollywood studios for my first day - still will not be at rope drop for either.

I am planning on doing AK when we get up and get over to the park and will get fast passes for AK. Do you think that it is even worth going to HS? The only thing that we will do there would be TSM and TT.

Hoping to be at AK by 11:00 - ride what we want, eat at Yak & Yeti - if we make it to HS by 5:30 and the park closes at 7:00 is it worth it to try to do both in 1 day?

I could add an extra day to my 3 day PH for the day we leave (we don't leave until early evening) but I still wouldn't be able to get fastpasses for that day until we get there. So the odds of getting fastpasses for TSM and TT in the am on Tuesday, December 6th seems slim if I have to wait until 12/3 to get them.

It would cost almost 50.00/ticket to add the extra day since I have park hoppers. I don't think that I can add an extra day without the park hopping.

Any suggestions?

It's enough time to get those 2 rides.

It might be pushing it if you want those 2 rides and F!

But currently there is no fireworks scheduled in DHS, and with Rogue One being released in December, I can't imagine they end fireworks before then after building a permanent fireworks launch pad behind the park. I'd look for DHS hours being extended.

The other possible change, if Rivers of Light at AK finally opens, and if it gets good reviews, wouldn't you want to check it out? (And EE at night is the best night ride at WDW anyway)

Well, it is more likely that HS will be open until 9:30pm. They are now doing fireworks in the evening, which I would classify as a "Must Do". If you are at all interested in Star Wars, you can easily spend an hour in the Star Wars Launch Bay watching the film, looking at the exhibits, and meeting characters. Hope that helps a bit! Have a great trip!

Except for AK, which doesn't stay open late enough, all the parks are a pretty good bet after dark. At HS, I've found that for the last couple hours or so many people get in line for Fantasmic or are busy with their ADRs inside and outside the park so it starts to thin out. I don't know if this has changed with the construction, but you may have better luck getting to some attractions elsewhere in the park with minimal wait (mostly everything but ToT and RR) going at night. HS is also pretty neat when the the sun goes down too!

Sorry I guess I forgot to add - this is December 3rd - short hours are already listed, if the Osborne lights were coming back I wouldn't worry about the hours but all the website has is Fantasmic at 7:00
