HRH Refrigerator/Cooler ????

What size are the refrigerators you can rent at the HRH? Will they clean out the mini-bar and just let you use that one or do they bring another one in?

Has anyone ever brought along their own mini-fridge to use or is this frowned upon? How about brining a hard cooler into your room?

you can rent the mini/bar fridge for $15 a day.
i haven't done this in 5 years.
they empty out the items in the fridge and then you can use it.

someone posted sometime back they paid $10 a day for the fridge.

call the hotel to be sure.
policies change and i don't want to lead you in the wrong direction

others have posted that they have picked up a styrofoam cooler at the grocery store in orlando to use in the room. for us, the only stuff i wanted cold was water, juice boxes, and milk. i had a collapsable one that i packed in my suitcase and just filled it with ziplocs full of ice and left in the room. it was great because i was able to use it to also take with us for beverages when we went pool hopping. i guess depends on how much you want to refrigerate.

yeah...it really worked out for us. the kids took turns filling the ziplocs every morning and we would pack the ziplocs in the cooler around juice boxes, water bottles and dole fruit cups. the kids loved coming back to ice cold stuff in the room. anything else we just put in the ice bucket. i had the mini bottles of water so it was great having that while at the pool and when it got really hot, we had a water fight with the ziplocs full of melted ice.

When we went last year, we brought a foldable cooler, one you would bring to the beach ~ it's decent size with a zipper on top and folds for putting it in your suitcase.

When we got to the hotel, we got ice from the ice machine and changed it daily

I have taken a large cooler into the hotel before. Also cases of water and drinks. No funny looks from valets and doormen. They loaded it all up on the cart for me and wondered where the beer was. I have also gone to the grocery store and picked up stuff and have not had any funny looks. Did the soft cooler once and wish I would have thought of the zip lock bags.
