Okay disney people w/ experience, how does our 1st day @ epcot look? Will we be able to do all of this or am I crazy? This is the day that we are going to arrive, our plane gets in @ 9:45 am. It will be tuesday Nov. 28th (so low crowds we hope). we have ds4 &dd7. I am hoping to hit epcot around noon and leave around 5 or 6:00.

Soaring (get fp if needed)
* do club cool and fountains * do this while waiting to use
soaring fp OR after honey I
Shrunk
get Fp for honey shrunk
journey into imag
do honey shrunk
see canada
share 2cs of fish in Uk
see france
boat back
dh eat in mexico
norway/malestrom
test track
see characters across from innovations (if time)
spaceship earth (if time)

In case you are wondering we have another 1/2 day in epcot were we will do the seas, rest of the ws and illum. Any imput would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Honestly, aside from going to Soarin for your fast pass right away, you've got to let the rest go. Don't make the mistake of overplanning. Soaring fastpasses go very quick and will run out, so you do want to hit that first. Test Track passes move quick too, so I'd get those next. After that go with the flow and enjoy as mucha s you can. If you plan too much you wont stay on track and fustrate yourself for sure.

If the crowds aren't too bad, you shouldn't need FPs for Honey, I Shrunk. They weren't even available when we went in January.

I agree with the previous poster about "going with the flow." You will be sooo lucky if you actually get to Epcot by noon, etc. I think your schedule sounds doable assuming your kids don't want to spend tons of time at the "playground" after the Imagination ride or the jumping fountain outside Honey, I shrunk. Also, we found tons of characters in World Showcase and that took more time than we thought. I couldn't believe how much my kids (3 & 5) loved Epcot. Have fun!

Just my opinion...

Maybe FW one day and WS another. I think you'll be surprised at how much there is for kids back in the WS, if you take advantage of it. You can stop at every land for Kidcot. Characters are usually in each land.

Is there a reason you aren't staying for the evening? Don't forget to do Illuminations. Especially if it's your first night. It's a great fireworks display.

Also, Just so you know....I took two kids (4 and 7) to "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" at Disneyland last year and it terrified both of them (the effects are more than visual). I would recommend getting a FastPass for Soarin and then heading to Test Track to ride and then visit the fountains and other kid friendly stuff ( I hear that Turtle Talk with Crush is supposed to be great for younger kids). I have actually not yet been to Epcot but feel that I can offer this advice based on other postings I have read and my expecience with "Honey...."

I agree I would just do FW your first day since it wont be a full one then I would use another full day at WS and go back to anything you want to or missed in FW.. There is plenty in FW to keep you busy until closing that first day then you can go back and unpack or swim and get up refreshed for your first full day in the parks..JMHO

Gosh, sorry it took so long to reply for some reason I couldn't post yesterday.
WE are not staying for the evening because on another day we will come back and do seas, the rest of ws & illum. My plan is to get the kids to bed early that first night, our flight leaves home @ 7am so we must be up by 4-5am

The reason I liked to plan this all out is because I don't want to waste time and get fustrated standing in the middle of the park w/ a map trying to figure out where to go next. Also I like to plan it in a bit of geographical order so I don't needlessly make the little ones walk more than they need to and agin so we aren't wasting time backtracking. I feel like since we have NEVER :sad2: been here I will be very lost if I don't map it out. If we get off track that will be fine I have days that aren't planned at all so we can go back & do the things that we missed. I also know that test track stays open w/ ws so if we do miis it we can get that on the 2nd trip to epcot (Ihope).

I'm just wondering if this sounds doable in the amount of time that we have or if any one sees anything to improve this or sees anything that I missed. Thank you all so much

I just returned from a trip and I think it sounds a little bit ambitous (sp) for the time frame. Definetly get the fast pass for Soarin ASAP, send your DH to get it and you and the kids can get in line for the Character conncection in Inovations that would be a great waiting thing to do, or go ahead and head over to the Imagination pavillion. I do not recommend you all going to get the fast passes because they are downstairs next to the ride and the land pavillion can be somewhat confusing.

Be sure to check the time at the bottom of your fast pass and send DH or you go this time and get your Test track fast pass when the time comes around. This will eleminate the walking troubles.

EPCOT is HUGE! World Showcase is HUGE. Of course you should plan just remember to be flexible when you get there because there are so many variables that aren't planable.

Most definetley do the Imagination ride and visit figment in his house next to Honey I Shrunk! :figment:

SpaceshipEarth is a good thing to do on the way out and shouldn't be a problem with a wait. We got on right on at about 6:00 pm

IMHO you could wait to do Malestrom and visit Mexico and Norway on your return visit, but if DH insist on eating in Mexico I can see the reasoning :)

Have a great trip!

For starters...when you go to get your FP for Soarin' you must go inside The Land building. The FP will probably be a good 2 hour wait from the actual time you get your ticket for it. You may want to check out Living with the Land and The Circle of Life. You will probably end up spending more time at Imagination than planned because of the The Kodak "What If" labs. It is smart to take the boat from France over to the Showcase Plasa (near Mexico and Norway). It is a 1.3 mile walk around the WS. Your FP for Test Track will also probably be a 2 hour wait from the time you pick up the ticket. We usually spend a day at FW and a day at WS. There is so much for kids and adults to do in both sections of the park. I think that you will NOT be able to do the things that you are planning to do from Noon to 5PM. I agree with the other posters that you'll be lucky if you make it to the park by Noon.

Also, a 1/2 day to see the Universe of Enegry, Mission Space, Innovations, The Living Seas, and the other adventures that you didn't get to see in FW. Plus there is so much for the kids to see at the different countries that if you are planning only a half day, you won't get to see WS at all except for th Canada, United Kingdom, France, and whatever else you plan the first day you arrive.

I don't plan on seeing all of these the only thing we want to see in fw on our 2nd day is the seas and we will be in that area for a 5 pm dinner @ CR after that we are going to take the boat to france/ morrocco (sp) and see the rest of ws we also probally will not do kidscots (weird I know but my kids don't like to color that much) so we may do passports & candy around the world.
We also don't plan on doing any of the movie attractions.

I'm bummed to hear I will not get much of my plan done I quess I will have to re-plan it a little lighter.

It's funny to see that people say I wont get into the park by noon because a while ago I did a post asking if this was possible and if I allowed a little over 2 hours from plane landing to using ME to checking in and everyone said that that was plenty of time.

One more question will my waits be this long even on a tuesday the week AFTER thanksgiving? Thanks

2 hours might be cutting it a bit close. On my last trip the plane landed at 10:43 and I BARELY got done with check in at the AKL by 12 noon!!!! I have used DME a bunch of times so I know exactly where I AM going and what to do so there was no getting lost or anything. My friend and I changed into shorts, applied sunscreen and were off to MGM and were there by 12:30 but just as we got to the bus stop the MGM bus was pulling up so there wasnt any wait time there. I would figure on 1 pm just to be sure. Belle

If you had a full day at the park, from open to close, you could get in what you listed, but with getting there late morning and leaving before evening I would say you definately would not get all of that in.

You need to make sure you do Turtle Talk with Crush in the Living Seas. It is hilarious!!! And like another poster said, Off Kilter in Canada is a must see! The World Showcase has so much to it that you could definately spend and entire day and still not get through it all.

Will you be going back to Epcot on another day? You must see Illuminations - it is magnificent! pixiedust:

That seems about right. Our plane lands 1 hr earlier then yours did so hopefully all will go well.

yes the 2 epcot trip plan is in my op. I can't wait to seett w/ crush. I know this trip we won't get to see everything in ws (nor do I think the kids will want to) we will be just skimming through the countries.

Definately need to get a fast pass for Soarin' and Test Track. For honey I shrunk the audience show, you really don't need a fastpass, we usually just walk right in.
