how to send pm message

How does one send a PM to someone when the member list is disabled, and the search forum (for their name) doesn't work?


I've been trying to figure it out for an hour. I thought I could just find a thread they posted in and go from there, but the search forum for member name isn't working. I know very well this member has posted many times here.

If you know the name, then just type it in the send to bar.

I think her point is she doesnt know the exact name. I can relate, this has happened to me before. The best I can suggest (what i did) was kept searching for posts until i found the person.

perhaps someone else will have a better suggestion.

I've also had this problem. I can only suggest the same thing. Search threads that you know that person has posted on.

No wonder why people tend to use the forums for personal messages instead of the actual pm system.

Short of the obvious you most likely have done (checking dis/vmk title thread) and looking for a thread you are sure they posted on. I have located some people by going to the buddy list and if you think you might know there ID here type it in if it accepts there you go if not try another. Could be a long process and might have better luck with identifing a friend and ask them. Sorry fresh out of other ideas - thats pretty much for everything right now.

Ah shoot, were all curious now. Might as well tell us maybe we can help you find them if you don't mind we don't
