How to repel flies & mosquitoes?

Hey everyone I just saw this recently on TV. I don't know how well it works but it looks like it may be worth it. It's a personal bug spray repellent that is supposed to surround a small area around the device that you can clip onto your belt, baby stroller or anywhere you like.

Don't use that! I used that and got so bit up, I was miserable for days. It didn't work for me, DH, my bro, or his family, plus several hikers we ran into! I was told ginger pills work. I was taking them for motion sickness on a cruise. We went into the jungle. DH got bit up and I got one or two. I am normally a walking mosquito buffet, so I think ginger pills might work!
