How to phrase BCV requests - please read, I'm not stressing about the view!

I've been checking out DisZip's website with pictures and layout description of different views at BCV. After reading the sage advice of those who have gone before me, I have decided NOT to stress out about the view and just hope we get a room every night of our trip in March (it's not our home resort). After looking at the pictures, I decided courtyard or pool view would be lovely. I saw this picture:http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/room266.php
and drooled due to ginormous balcony! It kept going... and going... and going.

My question is: do all the rooms overlooking the pool have such a big balcony? I've also read that 1st floor pool view rooms allow you to walk straight out to the pool from your balcony. There were no pictures of this on the site; can anyone confirm that?

I think I'll tell MS that I'll take pool view or courtyard view, but I'd like to specify that I'd like big balcony. How would I phrase that? I know to limit my requests to as few as possible, but I do want them to try to place me in one of those two areas with a larger balcony. My mom would love that! Any tips? And any answers to my questions above?

I appreciate your help!

Some of the rooms will have a small balcony off the living room. Some will have a small balcony off the bedroom. Some will have two small balconies - living room and bedroom. Some have one long balcony between the two rooms. We were in a studio once that had a wedge shaped balcony.

So, if you want a large balcony, ask for that. But it's just a request.

I think people overthink these things. The best way to phrase it is probably to ask for a "big balcony".

3 weeks ago, we had one of those first floor pool view rooms (I think our room is actually one of those in the picture...room 106) & yes, we could have walked straight out to the pool from the back door we had in our studio. We didn't though, because we did not use that pool. The pool in that picture from the link you provided is a quiet pool, & we did not use that pool.

**One thing though, there were some bushes surrounding our patio that we would have had to walk over to get to the pool.

And we had not made any kind of room request at all...we just lucked out getting a great room!! We loved our location!!

We once had a first floor room that allowed us to walk right out to the quiet pool. However, I constantly kept one eye on the patio door, since it was unlocked!!

We had a 1 b/r on the 2nd or 3rd floor with a giant balcony and we thought the balcony was great! Our room just overlooked the canal. But if it had been a bit more to the right (as we faced outwards) it would have been much more of a parking lot view which wouldn't have been as nice. So a word of warning about the balcony request....

First floor is patio and there is landscaping between you and the pool and it is not really designed to walk through. Also that would mean leaving your room unlocked to do that, something I would never do.

If you want a large balcony, simply state that. However most all rooms are filled as you check in and you will be given your choice of what is available at that time.

Room 266 does have a large balcony but I would never want to stay in it again as it is directly beside the second elevator and you hear it go up and down all night long....;(

If large balcony is your most important request, then request that and leave it at that.
