Wow. I'm very surprised with the outpouring of responses in just a few days! Thank you to everyone who helped me with all your different ideas and words of encouragement.
For those of you who wish to waste your time judging, making assumptions, and trying to turn me away from this goal... first of all, you do not know me. The only fee that I am even partially responsible for with college are my books and personal fees (food, clothing, etc). I have no obligation to tuition and room/boarding. I am going to an in-state public university, so the cost is a lot easier on my parents, who are the primary spenders on my education. And I'm not saying that I'm not going to work while I'm here- I'm looking for a job everywhere. In fact, I was just in the middle of some job hunting when I decided to take a short break to see how this thread was going. I have a very good work ethic, any of my previous employers will tell you that, so it's not like I'm trying to go on this trip without having to lift a finger (like I said, I'm planing on working A LOT during my vacations).
I suppose I worded my question incorrectly. I plan on working as much as I can, but until I get a job, I was wondering how I could make money on the side to fund this trip.
And you should all be pretty grateful that a young person like me is trying to fund a trip to DISNEY WORLD, and not Las Vegas or Miami where I'm gonna waste all of my money on alcohol and what-not.
Again, to those of you who have given me HELPFUL suggestions and ideas.... I will certainly look into some of those. For the rest of you who thought you could deter me from my goals... think again. I actually laughed at some of your comments because you think I'm some immature college kid who cares more about a fantasy cruise than my education.
Have a magical day everyone![]()
Why not help your parents fund your college and they can have a $5K vacation that they surely deserve?
