Hey guys!

I'm thinking about doing the Marceline to Magic Kingdom tour next week (my first tour).

The website says it starts at 8, I can't remember how early the busses start running (staying at All Star Sports)

Will the bus system get me to MK early enough to do this tour? I've read on some sites that busses start running an hour before park opening which would be 8 and obviously not work for making it to the tour

Hey guys!

I'm thinking about doing the Marceline to Magic Kingdom tour next week (my first tour).

The website says it starts at 8,

1. I can't remember how early the busses start running (staying at All Star Sports)

Will the bus system get me to MK early enough to do this tour?

2. I've read on some sites that busses start running an hour before park opening which would be 8 and obviously not work for making it to the tour

1. The buses start running at about 6:30am every day.

2. That is often-reported misinformation that simply will not die.

Yes, buses run earlier than you think especially for parks with early hour tours or ADRs. We had no problem getting a bus to MK at 6:30.

We did a Keys to the Kingdom tour last summer. We were in the second group of the day, but still wanted to get there with plenty of time. We picked up a bus from POFQ right around 7 and were the only people on the bus. We arrived with plenty of time and were able to get into the park early and get some beautiful Photopass pictures with the castle and no people in the background! Enjoy your tour!

We did the Marceline to MK tour and the early Parisian breakfast at Epcot on our trip a couple weeks ago. We were staying at Ft Wilderness, and had no problems with early boats at 6:45 AM on Bay Lake. But, I can tell you from experience that the early morning buses are a very confusing and stressful subject. CMs at both Fort Wilderness and the Contemp said they've heard of early buses but couldn't confirm that they actually exist. They recommended taxis for early reservations.

For the buses to Epcot, we decided to take an early 7AM boat to the Contemp where we thought our chances were better to catch the early 'breakfast' bus. No bus ever showed, and there were several groups needing to get to Epcot for early reservations. Finally another bus driver radioed for a bus to drive our groups over. On the way we had to stop at the TTC to pick up others. Apparently the CMs on the monorail loop were telling folks to take the early monorails to the TTC where they could catch an early monorail or early bus to Epcot ... GUESS WHAT? There was no early monorail or bus from the TTC, so there were a bunch of others stranded at the TTC with reservations for Epcot in a few minutes. In the end, we all made it to Epcot, but some were late for their reservations.

So, while there are early 'breakfast' buses that make park runs, and I've seen them out and about, it can still be pretty random on when they decided to show, or what parks they are going to. My advice is as soon as you hit the bus stop, talk to the 1st bus driver you see to have them radio that a bus is needed. And as others have said, many of the CMs have no idea about morning transportation, and may steer you in the wrong direction.

Thank you guys so much! The CM on the phone told me the generic "one hour before parks open you need a taxi" line.

I didn't think taxis even went to the gate, which got me thinking what if the monorail isn't even running when I get there?? A taxi turns my $30 tour into $55ish with the chance I may not make it in time!

I've been dying to do a tour and plan to do the longer one in January with my parents.

If you do take a taxi, the smart thing would be to have it drop you off at the contemporary and walk to MK.

It won't die because Disney keep repeating it. It's on their website as one hour before park opening.

The Disney website is a major source of incorrect Disney information.
This is another situation that demonstrates that Disney doesn't update their information,
even when it's wrong, and this has been wrong for at least a decade.

If only there were other places to find out better information. ;)
