How to get a chipmunk out of the house

My dad is using regular mouse snap traps around his tomato plants for chipmunks. I just found out there was a bear sighting last night. I am missing the city and flatter land. At least I'm not seeing ground hogs daily like last month.

OMG They are cute but I definitely would not any in my house.

One would think that cats would take care of the problem. However, I understand "do nothing" cats. We lived one place where we got some mice come in. My Siamese cat would just "catch and release"

I used a small have a heart trap and put peanuts in it. I was trying to get them before my cats did. I caught 3 and freed them and have no issues since.

Thanks all. We finally caught the little bugger. We got a live trap. We set it up on the table where he likes to dig in the plant. Went out for lunch when we got back he was all tucked in the cage. So we put him in the car and took him a few miles and set him free. He seemed happy to be home.
Hope we don’t find any more of his friends

This is the second one we’ve had in the house in just a few weeks
The first one was so tired that DH just swooped it in a bag and took it outside
But last night he was sitting on the table digging in a plant jumped to a chair and then ran off somewhere
Our cats are no help
So any ideas how to get him out
We do have to find him first

well were 2 full days of being chippy free hope it keeps up
DH said that if we notice like the plant on the table has been dug in (dirt on the floor LOL) well just set the trap right away

apparently being almost 5 miles from here he couldnt find his way back
Ill have to say he was cute once he was in the cage
