I usually scrap in chronological order, even my vacation albums up to this point. However, I have over 600 pages from this trip, and we went to all the parks at least two different days.

I thought about doing the parks in sections, like all the MK pictures together, then all of Epcot, etc. Would that make sense? It's not like anyone is really going to care, other than me!

I think it would be great to organize your album by park.

I have two chronological albums from two different trips. Now I am working on a Disney ABC album. I have photos from two more trips that I am going to put in the ABC album.

Have fun!

I did mine by park. We went for 10 days so trying to remember who was where when was not easy. I did follow a basic timeline for each park though, day to night. Restaurants I did between parks unless they were in the park, like Akershus was with the Norway pages.

I did do the World Showcase in order too.

I will probably do a similar layout with our other trips I need to scrap.
Oh and if I have leftover pics, like Chef Mickeys I had tons! Anyway those and ones that didn't really fit anywhere go into the Disney ABC album.

I'm pretty good about remembering where we were on what days because I'm a complusive planner and I take notes through the trip :)

My next album is going to be a 12x12 ABC album for our 9 day trip. I have so many Disney albums that I thought something different would be fun

I thought I was the only one that did this. LOL! I did mine in chronological order, too. Every night when we got back to our room, I would write what park, characters we met, restaurants, any funny things that happened, etc. When I scrapped it, it made it very easy.

I do it day by day. I start all vacation albums off with a calendar page saying where we went and ate every day.

Lately, I've just been grabbing whatever photo speaks to me. I put the pages in pretty much any order -- no one but us cares about what we did when!

You have over 600 pages?!!!!?????????:scared1: You don't mean 60 or, if you are like me, 6? How do you put that many pages in a book?? You are my hero! Really, how do you put that many pages in a book?

I do mine by park. I crop all of my pics first in whatever manner feels right at that moment and then I sort all the pics by park (and sort of by day based on what we are wearing and how soon after the trip I remember) and then do it that way. I put the maps and times guides into each book so that makes it more logical for me to do it by park. Then at the end is where the crap goes that I don't know what to do with :)

What is an ABC book?

Maria

My Dis book is a collection of all of our trips--and from each trip I put into park order and then some random pages I am almost caught up from our Nov trip so I can be ready for our Sept 1st ever MSSHP!pixiedust:

I'm hoping she meant 600 photos, not pages...

I did my first Disney book by park. I had limited pages though because this was back in 2002 and I bought a 3 ring binder type scrapbook in the scrapbook shop in DTD so I was limited as to how many pages I could put in. Some of my best pages (Still my favorites to this day) are in there, probably because I had to creatively place things so I wouldn't run out of book space.

My most recent trip (to DLR, not WDW), I just took all the photos and put them in a photo album (gasp!). I'm rethinking this decision now that summer has arrived and school has gone.

Let us know what you end up doing!

Hi Shorts-- I am glad someone has common sense around here! Yes 600 pics sounds reasonable.:thumbsup2
I am currently starting a big 3 ring binder :scared: (gasp) Disney scrapbook that begins with our first family trip and goes until I run out of room. (I know this is heresy for some of you, but I first scrapbooked this way, and I can let the kids look through them whenever they want. The CM books I have are too expensive to not worry about them.) The only trips that won't be included are the trip DisneyDad and DS(11) took alone that is in my nice Creative Memories album, and the trip in 2001 that I made a cute 5X7 mini album for. (Talk about working to fit things in!!!!!!) And maybe our trip from last year--it was very special--and I try to do mini albums for really special occasions. :smickey:

OOPS!!!! I meant 600 PICTURES, not pages!!! Sorry!

Thanks for the input!! I have sorted the pics by park for now. I have some pages I'm really wanting to work on, and others, well, they'll not be my favorites, I'm sure, but I still want them in there.

My problem with going in order by day is that my album is a CM album, and it's so hard to move the pages around. I do some pages on the white album pages, and others I'll do on a 12x12 paper then put on the CM page.

I think I'm just overwhelmed. I've been scrapping for about 9 years, so it's not new to me, but I've had scrapper's block for several months, to the point that scrapping is not fun, it seems like a chore--worse than cleaning the bathrooms! I joined the July challenge, and I'm hoping I can get at least a few pages started. I also realized the other day that I haven't had any pictures printed since before Thanksgiving, so I'm REALLY behind!

That's why I was thinking I might do some of the "fun" pages that I have ideas for, then work on the rest.

Thanks again!

Hey Blues--
Why don't you do a preview section with your great ideas--kind of like a synopsis of the movie before a TV movie comes on--Then go into your chronological pages!:)
Good luck at any rate. I scrap mostly the ideas I love--I started way too late to go chronological! (My 4th child was almost a year old when I started.) I recently finished all the Halloweens from 1996-2005, 1 page per year. And I homeschool, so my kids are always around!:dance3:
