How to Complain About Rude Cast Member?

Wow. Regardless of logistics and geography, the CM should not have been snarky. If he thinks that it's not reasonable for other CM's to know the transportation routes, how can he reasonably expect a guest to have it memorized?

Good luck with your complaint, and I hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay!

I think that everyone is just trying to figure out your story (It makes no sense). The bus stops are clearly marked stating exactly what hotel the bus is going to be going to and you stated you "Don't remember how you got back to the hotel". One would think that if it was such an issue you would remember more about how you finally made it back... Your story just has too many holes.

Regardless of our opionions (Which By the way you stated in another thread "Everyone is entitled to" so please don't flame me), if the CM was rude to you then definetly write a letter, but... It seems to me that your entire trip was a bust. I have read your other posts and to me I think we are not getting the whole story here. It seems like everyone was out to ruin your vacation. In one of your other posts you admitted getting snatchy with CM's at the hotel...I am not trying to start a battle here, but in one post you talk about how a CM treated you badly and in another you state that you were rude to certain CM's... Do unto other!!!

I wonder how someone can have so much bad luck?

"Send your letter to: Guest Relations, ATTN: Guest Complaints, Walt Disney World, PO Box 10000, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830."

Actually, you want to address it to Guest Communications, Walt Disney World, PO Box 10000, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32820 or email at wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com. Guest Relations is a totally different department, that doesn't deal with guest letters.

These are also the addresses if you wish to compliment a CM on a job well done. These people don't sit there and read negative letters all day long... can you imagine?

Hope this helps!

Me too. It seems like if anything bad can happen at WDW it happens to the OP.

I second that. (or should I say third that? :D ) Seems to me someone may be looking for something, like a free breakfast or more?

A large majority of the threads that are authored by VHoffman are written in a negative manner, never a positive. This thread holds true to form. Perhaps this thread and others are written to invoke the ire of the DISers and there is no foundation to any of the complaints. If not, the author is one of the most unfortunate individuals to ever post. :charac2:

I was thinking the same thing after I saw who posted it.

Yes...it seems that bad luck and poor service seem to follow the OP around...must be all those "snarky" CM's...they can be soo nasty!

We got to MGM via taxi. I forget exactly how we got back from MGM to WL, however, that's not the point of my thread. The point is that I was treated so rudely by a cm. I just remember we were instructed to take a boat from mgm (to another location, then another bus from there to WL. Perhaps it was to TTC? Oh, well, that's hardly the point. The point is that I asked two Cm's, was given incorrect information by one, then berated by another because I had the nerve to ask in the first place. To tell me that I shouldn't ask cm's about busses because it was "expecting too much" was just plain rude. Period. He should realize that guests are not an interference with their job, they ARE their job!

Sorry, but I would like to know if there is a direct bus from MGM to WL.

I assume WDW must have one as the information I read states boat service to/from MK and bus to the other three parks. FWIW I have always found the lighted boards (sometimes 1) very helpful in pointing out the correct bus #.

I am sorry you had a couple sour CM's and I think you have your address so if you will indulge my slight hijack please.

We depart on the day after Christmas so the information would be helpful.

TJ

Let me get this straight--I was given incorrect information by two cm's, the second who was inexcusably rude to me and said I was "expecting too much from a cm" to even ask (then who should I ask--sorry, I didn't have my laptop, couldn't contact Disboards). I asked for an address to write a complaint and got one, thank you. But for those of you who seem to think I'm trying to "get something" from this, such as a "free breakfast", well, if that were so, I would have done that at Disney. Unless you think I want one of you to come over and cook me breakfast?

To the above poster, I'm through with this thread, you can "hijack" it, however, you might find more information concerning bus schedules, routes, etc., if you start another thread. I think it will be seen by more people who have the information you need. Good luck! :bored: :bored:

Yes, there is a direct bus from WL to MGM. And from MGM to WL also ;)

Im sorry that your evening was somewhat ruined by a rude CM. Sounds to me like this CM needs a lesson in public relations. I hope that you pursue your letter to Disney. Just remember that this CM may also have other issues pending with managment as well or even other possible complaints. If you dont let Disney know the problems continue. Good luck.

Thanks, Wisbucky, for the information. Its really frustrating that I find the information I need after the fact. It took us over 1.5 hours to come back from MGM to WL due to the misinformation we were given. We were told to take a boat to somewhere (either DTD or TTC, sorry, I don't have the map of Disney memorized), then a bus from there to WL. Well, it got us there, but took about 1.5 hours. I really do think this deserves a letter of complaint to management. All were were asking the cm's to do was to do their job!

So you actually took a boat from MGM to TTC or DTD? The boats from MGM only go to the Boardwalk resorts or Epcot. There is no direct bus from Boardwalk to WL. You can catch the bus from Epcot to WL, but I would think you would remember walking from the International Gateway to the entrance of Future World. The story is confusing and I think Disney would find it confusing as well.

If I recall correctly, in the beginning of your trip (another thread) while checking in, you snatched the room keys out of the CM hand and walked away before she could finish her sentence.

By any chance, you didn’t snatch the map from the CM hand and walk away before she finished giving you directions?

Exactly what are you trying to accomplish by filing a formal complaint? I find it difficult to believe that a highly trained WDW cast member would be “rude” without any provocation. Perhaps the insolent comments that you claim to have received were only in response to your disdainful indignation. I suggest that you do not waste your time filing a complaint against a cast member who was initially gracious and respectful until you berated him for not “knowing everything”. If other Disboard members get the impression that you are not telling the whole story, so will Disney Guest Communications. On subsequent trips, you might consider taking responsibility for your vacation plans, rather than blaming others for your lack of foresight.

Whoa, Ubshang!

If you're going to criticize, at least READ my post, not everyone else's comments about it. I explained to the cm that we were standing where we were because we were waiting for a bus on the directions of another cm (the park was about to close, and I guess he wanted to make sure it was cleared out). He then said to me "You're expecting too much out of a cm to expect them to know the bus routes. There's so much information about Disney, no one can know everything. That would be like asking me if the chef at the Paris restaurant uses too much spice in his cooking". That's being gracious? I didn't berate him for not knowing everything, where in my post did you read that? He (the cm) was berating me for asking a cm in the first place. Or did you bother to read it, or just jump on this thread. Really, if you're going to jump in on this thread, at least read the posts before you criticize.
