How to be the first one at MK gate?

I have a CRT PS at 8:15 Easter week. MK has changed the opening time to 8:00 since I made the PS. It is not an EMH day. I have park hoppers from last year so I don't want to wait for all those finger scans that the everyone else will be dealing with. I want to be 1st at the gate if possible. We are staying at POP and I have 3 DD's that I will be taking to the park by myself. We have a car, but I was wondering if I am better getting my DH to drop us off at TTC or a monorail resort instead of ride the bus. What time does each monorail take it's first load of people and which monorail is the quickest TTC or resort monorail? Do they both leave at the same time? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

I know that there is a character meal bus at each resort that starts about 7:00a and I did this last August for a 8:20a PS at CRT.

I was at the BWV. The bus came right at 7:00a and we made it to MK early and got to do the countdown to MK opening so basically we were early for our PS.

Your best bet is to just take the bus. If you want to beat the crowds, I'd be out at the bus stop around 7:00am.

Word going around property is that this Easter will be the busiest Easter we've seen in years, so you will really want to get there early.

Can you tell me which monorail runs first and at what time? I really am not interested in riding the bus with 3 kids. I am meeting DH in the parks that evening and we will have the car. Thanks!

The biggest problem you will have if you drive will be getting there. It will take a long time. First you have to drive from your resort to the MK gates, then park in the parking lot. Then wait for a tram to take you to the front. Then you will have to navigate your three kids through the crowd of off site day guests who will be lined up waiting to get through the closed gates at the TTC. Off site guests aren't allowed in until 10 minutes prior to park opening time. Now keep in mind that you are talking about one of the top three busiest times of the entire year as well. It's possible to get through but you'll have to get the kids through the crowd, get near one of the gates and find a CM who will allow you in after providing him with your PS number.

And even if you do get through all that, you're still looking at taking the resort monorail over to the MK which will make stops at two resorts before getting there.

Having your husband drop you off at the TTC will not change what you will have to fight your way through.

It would be far, far, far easier for you to take the resort bus to the MK where it will drop you off right at the MK gate.

You're looking for suggestions, all of the suggestions have been to take the earliest bus from your resort.

I agree but since you don't really seem to be looking for our recomendations ... have your husband drop you off at the Contemporary at the crack of dawn, you and the kids could walk over the the MK long before most people get there. I wouldn't think waiting by the gate for an hour or more before they let people in (you did say you want to be the first through the turnstile) would be better than riding the bus with 3 kids. Your husband could either park at TTC or go back to the resort and take a bus later.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I guess I didn't phrase the question correctly. I can get to MK no problem -as early as necessary. We go to Disney 2-3 times a year but we usually don't get there exactly at opening. What I am most concerned about is not being so far back going through security and the ticket machine that I miss my PS. Since MK opens at 8 now, will they still let PS holders in ahead of the crowd? Is there a separate entrance line for PS holders? I really need to know what is the earliest monorail and what time it runs (resort or TTC?). I may take the suggestion of walking from the CR. I had considered walking to TTC from POLY too. We stayed there in Oct. so I am familiar with that. Thanks!

Alot of information on the other boards indicates that CMs are being told through their newsletters/websites that MK will open EVERY DAY that week at 7 am for resort guests....I don't think you are going to be the first person there.

I have a PS at Grand Floridian at 810 that morning too so have to plan to get over there -- it will take awhile but it should be fine....we do it every Easter.
