How tall does a man have to be to be "tall" to you

A festive conversation among the girls in our office today: how tall does a man have to be to be "tall" to you? The women of wisdom (i.e. 50+) were saying 5'10", 5'11"; others thought 6', 6'1", and the mid twentysomethings among us were saying 6'2", 6'3"! Is your SO "tall", if so, how tall is he?

Mine's not ... 5'9".

Compared to me (just a bit over 5'), almost any guy is tall Mine is significantly taller than me at about 5'10"-11"

My DH is 5'9" also....although he'd say he's 5'10".

At 5'1 everyone is tall to me! But DH is 6'0. My brother in law is 6'11!! Now that's not only tall, it's gigantic! LOL!

Nope we are the exact same height. But the men in my family are all 6'2-6'4 so that would be what I considered tall.

Another shorty here! I am barely 5' so anything over 5'6 is tall to me.

That's a good point, about how it's relative to yourself. I'm 5'3", and tall to me is anyone for whom I would fit under their chin. That's usually a good eleven or twelve extra inches, so I think 6'2", 6'3" is tall.

Anything over 6'0" is tall to me. My DH is 6'4"

I'm 5' 3". Anyone 5' 7" and up is tall to me. My SO is 6' 2".

I think tall in men is 6 feet and up. I'm 5'3" and DH is 5'9".

My DH is 6'4"....I'm so used to him that only taller than that seems tall.
DS is 6'5".

I'm the wrong guy to ask. Granted, a few years ago, (okay, more than a few. ) but heights are still the same, all these many years later.

Since I'm 5'3" tall, I suppose anything taller than that would be tall to me. My dh is 6'1" and so is my son. They are both "tall" to me

DH is 6'5, and pretty tall to everyone we encounter =)

He comes in handy!!!!! I never lose him in a crowd, he's there to reach things that i need... we constantly are helping people at the grocery store reach things!

Now if his pant size was just carried in the stores...

I don't consider the height of a man compared to my height, in that case EVERYONE would be tall!

I consider a man tall if he is over 6'5" tall.

6 foot or taller would qualify as tall imo. It seems like the average size man is my height or maybe a little shorter, I'm 5'10" and I look eye to eye with most men I know.

DH is 6'1", perfect for me, even if I am wearing heels. I dated a couple of guys in college who were taller, more like 6'4", that was nice too. I never could do the shorter guy thing, but I know plenty of women who do.
