How tall does a man have to be to be "tall" to you

(did you read my long tall glass of water thread the other day where I was like a freak show???) and I'm chunky too.

I did read - and I took that to mean the man was complimenting you! (Although it was weird that he said that upon meeting you for the first time - and in a business meeting, to boot! )

I think I heard that line from one of those old gumshoe movies, "She was like a tall glass of water on a hot summer's day....."

Me? I always get "half pint", "little bit", "shorty" and "mouse." Now I get "little old lady."

Yes, Bet, that is rthe reason. Has to be a limit somewhere, for standardization, I guess they set it at 6' 6". I could heave enlisted though, almost did, in the Air Force. Weird, could enlist, but not draft.

I'd say over 6 feet. My BF is about 5'9 maybe? I'm not very good at estimating. I know I'm between 5'4 and 5'5 so a lot of people seem tall to me. Except my best friend, who is 5'1. But she always wears really "tall" shoes...

6'2 or so and up is tall to me.
My Dad is 6'4", so I'm sure that has something to do with it.
My husband is a shorty-5'7".

I am 5'4". A lot of people are taller than me. But I don't consider a man to be tall unless he's over 6ft.

I'm 5'1, and like many other disers, most adults are taller than me. I consider a man to be tall at 6' and a woman at 5'9. My DH is 6'3. We think our DD's are going to be on the taller side of average, my DD (8) is 4'3, not too far behind me!

At least 6' 1 " is tall to me!! My Dad WAS (lol) 6'4" so I always wanted to marry someone tall!! Dh is 6'1" so he "fit" the mold! LOL Now Dan at 6' 6 1/2" is GREAT!! LOL The taller the better!

Hey Snoopy I wanted to tell you that the"post" the other day was to me a "compliment"-not meaning you were tall but meaning you were pretty-like someone posted "a tall glass of water on a hot summer's day"!!! Now, I'm not saying that is appropriate in a business meeting but getting told you are attractive is always nice-especially at our age!! LOL

I'm just under 5'3"...DH is 6' even. I don't consider him tall...my ex was 6'4"...so I guess anything over like 6'1" is tall.

I'm 5'7" or 5'8" (I may have shrunk a bit in my old age ) and DH is 6'3", which is perfect, because I can wear high heels and he's still taller than me!

My SO is a 1/2 foot taller than I am. I consider him tall when I can't reach something on a shelf and I know he can. Tall to me would be 5'11" or taller (which is taller than my SO).

I consider tall to be 6'2" and up. My ex was 6'7"...that is definately tall. Always amazed me the number of people who would come up to him and and say "you know you're tall?" Not ask how tall he was, just kinda point out to him that he was. His standard reply was to laugh and say "Ya, I get the hint of that each time I bang my head on the top of the doorway."

Well, I am 5'6". DH is 6'1"....I think that is tall, but my Dad is 6'3".....both are the only men in their immediate families over 6 ft. My brother and Uncles are all around 5'9" and DH's brother , my DFIL and DH Uncles are all under 6ft...if not close to my height....hhhmmm....were the milkmen tall????

Now, I dated a guy in College who was 6'5".....that really seemed tall!

DH and I are the perfect height difference. I can still wear heels......plus a taller man by your side is slimming!

Well, I'm itty bitty - 5'2". So anyone taller than me is tall! If they are over 6 ft. then they are a giant!!!

Anyone who is taller than I am (5'4") is tall to me. A guy could be 5'7" and he would be tall in my eyes...

I really don't like guys that are WAY taller than I am - like above 6'3" - I get a crick in my neck from just talking to them!!!!

I shouldn't have said "don't like", as that is not true - wrong choice of words.

Anytime I meet a guy 6'3" or taller, all I am thinking the whole time I am talking to him is "man, I wish we could sit down" - it really does kill my neck sometimes! My brother is tall, about 6'0" -I got stiffed in the height category!

Tall to me is over 6 foot. My SO says he's 5'9" (but I think possibly 5'7", but he won't admit it and I've never measured him). Anyway, I am 5'1" and I love that when I wear heels it's so easy to kiss him without getting a cramp in my neck!
