how soon to make reservations

Hi, we are wondering how soon can we make reservations in the Resorts area.
We are not the member of the DVC yet but we are tempt. We plan to go back in June of
2003 for our 20 Anniversary.

We were there at the Old Key West in March of 99, and March 2002 stay with family member
who does have timeshare.

You can make reservations at your home DVC resort (the resort you bought into) 11 months ahead of your desired check out date.

You can make reservations at the other (non-home) DVC resorts 7 months ahead of your check out date.

If you want to use your DVC points to make a reservation at a non-DVC WDW resort, you can do that 11 months ahead of your desired check out date. Not all of the WDW resorts are available to reserve with points, though.

If you were looking to book a cash reservation at a DVC resort I would call Disney and ask them for the earliest time you can book. Currently the Disney web site is only taking reservations through Dec 2002. There are limited rooms available for non DVC members until 60 days out when any rooms not booked by DVC members become available.

If you want to rent points from a DVC member then the booking guidelines listed by CarolMN would apply.
