How Soon Are Points Available After Add-On?

Just wondering if we have to wait 'til after we officially close to use our new BWV '04 use year points .... we don't close 'til November but we could put them to use during our trip next month if they're available to us.

Anyone know?

If you added-on through DVC, the points will be available immediately for booking. If you purchased them through resale, they won't be available until about one week after closing.

Just remember that DVC will probably make you sign a waiver when you check-in that you're using points before you close. It's a standard thing, to cover them if you use points before you close. Basically, it states that if for some reason you don't close, you owe them the value of the reservation. Which is valued at rack rates. As long as you've paid your $500 deposit, you can call MS on Monday and check on availability for your dates!! GOod luck!!

We're actually staying on points at the Contemporary (last-minute kind of trip and no DVC rooms were available for our dates). We have a garden room booked, but with our add-on we can upgrade to the Tower if a room is available.

My ds has always wanted to stay in the Tower, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
