We will be bringing our three year old daughter to Disney. She loves Ariel. (Although she hasn't seen the movie, just read the book over and over and over and over and over. . . . . ). I have seen videos of the new ride and it looks really really cool, but I am a bit concerned about how scary Ursula might be. It's kind of hard to tell from the videos. Our daughter is not a "anxious" child, but we do try to exercise caution in what we expose her to. . .

I agree that its not scary for normal children. My 12 year old still plugs her ears and covers her eyes when we go through the Ursula section ... She does the same thing on Haunted Mansion and Dinosaur, but loves mission space, RnRC and EE. Go figure - she does have mild aspergers though ... So I wouldn't use her as an example unless your child is on the spectrum...

Both my girls loved it, my youngest was 2 and a half the first time she rode it. Having said that, once we got stuck on it after the Under The Sea scene, right in front of Ursula singing... she didnt like that! But I just hugged her and when we were on our way she was fine. It was just the being stuck right in front of her for a while that scared her

In Dec, DGD at 17 months rode it 3 times in a row. She loved it

My guys found flotsam and jetsome a bit scary but other than that it was very tame

My daughter saw me perusing the board and spotted this question (she is 7) and she wanted me to comment to let you know that she thinks it's 0% scary :flower:
