How possible are upgrades?

To Mickey7861 - I am planning on staying at the BCV and I am interested in hearing what dissappointed you there. I hear many good things about all the Disney resorts. Sometimes knowing ahead of time about some of the downfalls helps you to be prepared. I would appreciate your opinions.

One of my favorite WDW memories is walking into my "garden" view room that I had paid for at the Poly, and finding that not only was it a lagoon view, but I could see the Castle! I was able to watch the fireworks right from my balcony.

Last December we had reserved a water view room. When we checked in, they had us in concierge! Ulimately we ended up paying a little extra to move to a garden suite anyway! The price was great, and with all the rain we had the extra room was nice!
