I chose the 440-45 category as it seems to be the best fit for me... Wow! I'm looking good for my age! :rotfl: I attribute my ability to keep it together (not fall to dust) to the Florida humidity.

Me (aka mom): 43
kids: 11, 14, 22

Myself, 43.
Son, Brendan 9.
Twin daughters Jessica and Ciara 6.

My biggest wish is that my wife could have been alive to see our kids in Walt Disney World.

I bought last year at the age of 47 (close to 48). I adopted a baby when I was 45, so my son was only 3 at the time I purchased last year. I know that we will be traveling to WDW for many years to come, figuring we'd travel every 2-3 years, so buying DVC was a no-brainer for me. However, I had no idea once I bought in and had my first DVC experience that I would be HOOKED and want to travel at least once or twice a year. I have since added on 3 times and am so glad that I did. Yes, I did finance some of it, but this is the best time for me to do this and I can now give my son experiences and memories that I hope he will look back on and smile.

I bought in this year when I was 24 and DH 29. We almost bought in 1.5 years earlier when I was 23 and DH 27, and regret not doing so now. But oh well... We wanted to buy in early enough that we will be able to keep going before we have kids, while we have kids, and after our kids are grown. We expect to reap the rewards of our 50 years of contract!

We just bought in June, have not even taken our first trip yet. DW and I are both 36. We've taken DD for the last 2 years, staying at POP in Jan 2008 and BCV (renting points from my brother) in Jan 2009. We know that we want to travel to WDW pretty much every year.

We originally started out wanting to get enough for a studio every year, but I knew I wanted BLT and the studios seemed awfully small, so we quickly escalated up to wanting a 1 BR every year.

I was 28 and wife was 29 (now 30/31). We paid cash, and don't have any other debts aside from her growing vet school debt... and by the way, how the heck did you work full time during vet school? Her studies alone are double a full-time job. Ugh.

No house or kids yet.

What an excellent poll! I'm surprised to see how many in there are in there 30's and 20's. Good for you guys! We are in the 440 range. There is no way we could have done it 10 years ago, but at the same time, I wish we had. If that makes any sense? I hate to think about it, but we realise we'll probably be willing it to the kids (lucky guys!).

We own 601 points and I'm pretty sure we were 22 and 26. We now have a 2 1/2 week old daughter at ages 25 and 29.

I'm 32 and have very little debt - bought 200 points at BLT financed through Disney - but will be paying it off this week with a lower interest rate financing through my bank.

Planning to add on points each year with bonus $$, savings and tax returns with cash when at all possible. My 5 year goal is to be able to take a 7 day Disney cruise and a 10 day vacation each year using DVC points for myself and my fiance (we are getting married next year at Wedding Pavilion ) so we basically need between 400 and 500 points...

OT, but you'd be much better off just paying cash for those Disney cruises. The points rate is a stupendous rip-off.

My DH and I were both 42 when we bought in ten years ago.Our DD was 8 at the time and DS was 11.We have definitely loved every minute of our DVC ownership.

:cool1: My dw was 48, and I was 49. Been "hanging":laundy: out at OKW for 12 years now. Be stopping in after our 4 day cruise next week. So move over Mickey cause "THE HOOSIER DADDY" is coming home. :lmao: :rotfl2: :cool1:
