We have a Dog who will be 9 this summer. We buy her doggie ice cream for her birthday as a special treat.
We've had a lot of pets over the years they seem to live be very old, it must be that they look forward to their treats on their B'Days!

I have two cats, one is 11 and one is 14. They always get a tuna dinner on their birthdays and for Christmas and for Thanksgiving they get Turkey.

Doc is 4 1/2, and he and all the pets have always gotten something special on their day, it is their birthday afterall.

Our dog Misty is 10 and we always celebrate her birthday! She gets presents for Christmas and her birthday, and her favorite part is ripping the wrapping paper off (which is why she helps open everyone else's presents on their birthdays). She also gets Frosty Paws ice cream, and we all get a birthday cake and sing Happy Birthday to her.

Diamond will be 10 in Oct. , Misty is 2 1/2 and Logan just turned 1.

Logan got one of his fave toys on his B-day. the others get something too...depends what I have or what I have thought to order from Pet Edge!

Did you know that you can make homemade "frosty paws"?

Meeko is 2
Aaliyah is 3
Max is 4
and Xena will be 5 in September.

Each get a Happy Birthday serenade on their birthdays, usually they just stare at us like we're crazy.

On the other hand, Xena's brother, Rex, is my niece's ONLY cat and he gets SHOWERED with gifts! :teeth: It's NICE to be wealthy!

The dog is 8 (I think) and her birthday is sometime in April. As you can tell, no, she doesn't get anything special.

Our dog is 14. The cat is 15. Have had them both since they were tiny. They don't get any special treats on their birthday unless you count the extra spoonful of canned food mixed in with the dry the dog got a couple of weeks ago on her birthday. I guess we are bad furbaby parents. :p

Simba is 7. We think Cali is 6, but not sure as she is a stray. They get treats every day.:teeth:

Sparky is 4. A mutt rescued from the pound as a puppy for my DD's 4th birthday. His birthday is celebrated with the first Barbecue of Spring. He goes crazy when we roll out the grill. He gets a treat then and every time we grill. He also gets gifts for his birthday, Christmas, Easter- all occassions. My DH and DD definitely feel that he is part of the family.

You can??? My furbaby LOVES frosty Paws. Would you happen to be able to share the recipe?:D

Just wanted to say that I wish every kitty and puppy in the world had such nice people as you guys watching out for them!!!! My two girls (kittys) are "spoiled rotten" (some unworthy person's words), and that is how it is supposed to be!

OOps! I didn't realize Mom was logged in on this machine- that post from Poohlovr was supposed to be from me.:)

When our kitty Barley turned 1 last year, we made all three of our cats pose with a party hat for their picture. Goofy? Yes it is. But the pictures sure are funny!

We always get them a special treat or a toy for their birthday's and Christmas. We do acknowledge their special day.

Patches - 8 years old, parakeet
Jacob Marley - almost 7, black Lab
Peanut - 4 years old, cat
Baby - 4 years old, cat
Grumpy Old Man (King) - 4 years old, cat
Fluffly - 4 years old, cat
Sam - 3 years old, cat
Lala - 3 years old, cat
Annie -2 years old, cat
Spanky - 5 months old, parakeet

(All the cats are strays that found their way to our home when they were little, teeny babies - there is a feral cat colony near by. Otherwise, we wouldn't have any cats. :o I love them, but I would prefer not to own them. :o But now they're mine and someone would have to hurt them or try to take them over my dead body. )

And I'm embarrassed to say no, they don't get birthday treats. Only because ... I can only remember my dog's birthday so that's not fair. :p BUT ... they do get treats for every major holiday! This morning I went out and stocked up on one dental bone (plus he'll get a hamburger and some watermelon  :p ), a bunch of Friskie pouchs and some orange/honey sticks for the 4th of July. :teeth:

They're 6 and 4 and they always get a birthday treat to share :)

I'm dog sitting right now and got a phone call yesterday from Cara's 'mom' (who is eating dinner at BOMA as I write this!:hyper: ) saying that she had forgotten to tell me it was Cara's birthday! So we sang and did a little dance and then had a special treat (that I can't post, 'cause I'll get busted!).

Uh.....no. Do you think they even have a clue?

My dog gets toys and a little cake. She is now 7. She does know about getting presents. At Christmas, if she doesn't have at least 4 gifts to "open" (and I even wrap up cans of alpo), she sulks. She loves it when we give gifts and she always wants one too.

we had a party for Madison, our lab when she turned 3 last year - a day before we left for Disney!! We got a bone cake from the Three Dog bakery and she had all her friends over and they wore party hats. When I told my friends at work, they thought I was on some pretty heavy meds. But Madison loved it.
Now Lily the cat and Cosmo the bird haven't a clue but I do sing them happy birthday too....and they get some special treats, just no party. Madison only had the party once.
