DH does the laundry all by himself! :thumbsup2

I need an "other."

Yes, here's further proof I am a bachelor 19 year-old boy on ths inside.

I do laundry whenever I need a clean something. Usually it is for undies. I don't do it once a week and sometimes I have enough clean clothes to last two weeks.

I also have more clothes than I have hangers and closet space, so I have to use the hamper as storage for clothes I'm not wearing any time soon.

I'm such a catch to my husband. :guilty:

Where do you people get all this laundry?!?

I would say I do two loads of laundry 3X a week. Maybe. Two of those are sheets and one towels. So probably 3 loads of clothing total per week.

We are a family of 5- one child in school and two preschoolers. DH will re-wear a pair of jeans until I find them and toss them into the laundry, so I guess that eliminates some stuff. Now if I didn't pay attention or hadn't had several discussions with my oldest, I might be doing more. When she was little she would try on 4 outfits and drop them on the floor of her closet. She would then scoop up everything (unworn) and toss into the hamper. Now she knows to put clothes away unless they're actually dirty.

It just seems that doing laundry every day would be wasting alot of water and energy. Or maybe my family is just doing something wrong that we're not generating that much dirty clothes ?

Not as often as I'd like to.....it seems like no matter how often I do it it's never enough

Where was the poll option for...all the freakin' time?:lmao:

There are four of us. I try to throw in a load everyday otherwise it gets out of hand. I think my family wears three outfits at a time. :confused3

My biggest problem with laundry....I'm happy to do it, but I can never finish a load......

I'll throw a load in whenever I walk by the damn thing, but I can never get it dried and put away.

DH only does laundry when he can complete the job....start to finish......

a bit compulsive for my tastes  :lmao:

I could do laundry every day but if I do I get sick of it then it will build up. I have about 25 loads a week if I do bedding. My kids won't reuse a towel either. I cannot and will not mix my colors. I try and sort my reds, yellows also. Our clothes look new alot longer for it I believe. :laundy:

There's one of me and I manage about a load every week. Some weeks I don't do any because I've worn a mixture of lights and darks, some weeks I do a load. Bedding and towels always go in with the lights.

We are a family of 3- I do laundry once a week, and it usually comes to 4 loads- one whites, one reds, one light/bright blues & greens, and one darks.

My biggest problem is that it's always getting interrupted. I'll be in the middle of doing it and the baby will cry and I get sidetracked, and then by the time I get back to it I don't feel like doing it and it sits there for at least another day untouched.

It's just my DH and me. We wash every other weekend.

I voted for a few times a week, which still tickles me to no end. Until last year when my middle DD got married, leaving me only one child at home, I did at least one load daily since 1982.

Thats 9,490 times

Two loads a day, one dark and one light (no matter how small). I don't like laundry piling up in the hamper. The only day I take off is Christmas Day.

It's only DD11 and myself and WE do five loads a week, usually split into two different days. One day is whites and colored, the other day is the same plus linen/towels, etc. She uses four towels a week (she uses two at a time) and I use 2 or 3. I put them in the wash, she flips, we share folding, she does all the whites (matchings socks, underwear, bras) and towels and anything else that wrinkles don't matter and I fold/hang the rest. Even when DS was home, he did his own laundry so it's been this way for at least 5 years.

For those of you using a new towel each day, don't you consider it a true waste of energy/resources:confused3
