How often do you clean your house?

I use to have someone come in once a month and do a good cleaning. My house is usually neat - but really cleaning I do it when I see it needs it. That could be once a week or every other week. Just depends on how much we are in the house.

We have cleaning people that come in every two weeks and clean the house from top to bottom and I clean and pick up in between as well.

I clean weekly, but I wouldn't call it deep cleaning. That stuff (like light fixtures, corners, marks on the wall, etc) just happens whenever I notice something nasty and decide it's time. For example, yesterday I noticed the dust collecting on my 6 panel doors and wiped them all down - that probably happens once a year.

Not often enough in our house for me. My DGF and I have different ideas of what cleaning entails. And oddly, it's me that would like our house to be cleaner than it is. It's not filthy by any means but I would like it to be cleaned better and more often.

As my DH likes to say... "Is your arm broken?"

We have a housekeeper that cleans, stem to stern, one a week.

We also have a housekeeper who cleans our house top to bottom once a week,

When we are away on vacation she cleans what needs to be done and will do some extras like cleaning the baseboards behind the furiture.

We do one part of our's every weekend so it's gets done once a month but not at the same time.

Once a week - usually Saturdays. DF works Saturdays, so it gives me the chance to clean from top to bottom and he won't get in my way!

I straighten up the house and clean the kitchen daily, but I do a good thorough cleaning (mopping, vacuming, polishing furniture, scrubbing bathrooms etc.) every Friday faithfully. So once a week!

Oh..I also vacuum my car every weekend or every other weekend too.

I usually clean top to bottom at least twice a week now that I'm home.It usually only takes me 3-4 hours, since I try to keep everything picked up and put away on a daily basis. I also do a lot of daily picking up/wiping off/sweeping because DH and DS are VERY messy. I cannot stand a messy house. It drives me crazy. I wasn't so obsessed with cleaning before I had DS, but I have been ever since he was born.

Because right now my DGF isn't working and she randomly "cleans" while I'm at work. I have volunteered to take "bathroom" duty. But if I try to clean something that I think needs cleaning and she's already "cleaned" it, she gets pissed. Hopefully when she starts working full time, we can get on a schedule and I can "teach" (wish me luck!) her how I like things cleaned.

Charade, you didn't ask but I am going to give you a little advice anyway.

Hire someone to do the cleaning and teach them how you like things.

Also, if you do attempt to teach your SO how to clean, please please please blog about it and give us a link.

Geez, now I'm starting to feel like I don't clean enough

I think if I did a top to bottom once a week in this house, I would be wasting cleaning products!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean in the kitchen, I always wipe down the counters after cooking, and I sweep the floor every couple of days, but I only mop it about once a month and it is a white floor!

I don't have animals, but I do have a 2 yr old!
