How often do you clean your house?

For those who use a cleaning lady: how often do you use their services and what does it all include? Thank you.

Our cleaning lady comes once a week.
She vacuums, dusts, mops, picks up a little, cleans the bathrooms, including toilets and showers.
She cleans the kitchen. She takes the knobs off the cook top and cleans it.
She changes the sheets on the beds and makes them. She empties all the waste baskets and takes the trash out.
Sometimes she oils the kitchen cabinets and
The kitchen table when needed. She puts the dirty rags into the washer and starts the washer. She carries the trash out to the trash can in the garage before she leaves.

Sometimes I have her come in an extra day to pull everything out of a closet so I can sort out what I want to store in the storage closet and thing I wish to give away.

She is very honest and trust worthy.
She has been our cleaning lady for 15 years and has become a friend of mine.

Vacuum every day. Mop every other. Bathroom we use most often cleaned every day. Other 2 get cleaned as needed.

Windows, curtains, closets and attic de-junked gets done every spring and fall.

I would loooove to hire a cleaning woman!

We have a cleaning lady every other week and it is great because it forces me to keep the "piles" under control. In between, I sweep/vacuum/mop every 3 days or so. We have two Labs and how they are not naked is beyond me!

How often do you clean clean your house? I don't mean the occaisonal wipe down and vaccuum. I mean mopping floors, scrubbing tiolets, dusting every piece of furniture. My hubby tells me I do a major cleaning too often! I usuallly do a head to toe cleaning once a month with the exception of windows and curtains. I don't think that's too often!!!! What do you think?

I clean like this every Monday....and then the bathrooms are done very night before bed.

I don't clean. If it wasn't for the dust bunnies I wouldn't have anyone to talk to.

Always cleaning something here. I hate dishes in the sink, dirty counters, dirty sinks or toilets...

2-3 times a week . We live out by a lake and it is dusty for some reason . We do vaccume and sweep everyday though becuas eof our cat.
When we have a housekeeper then we only have light cleaning everyday and she does all the hard stuff: )

Because right now my DGF isn't working and she randomly "cleans" while I'm at work. I have volunteered to take "bathroom" duty. But if I try to clean something that I think needs cleaning and she's already "cleaned" it, she gets pissed. Hopefully when she starts working full time, we can get on a schedule and I can "teach" (wish me luck!) her how I like things cleaned.
Good luck with that one. :rotfl2: Going on 14 years of marriage and my husband has failed to teach, harrass, pester or learn me on the housekeeping.

I clean my entire house every Saturday. I also do the laundry. It wears me out, but I like it all to be done at once.

No full blown house cleaning here (unless you count donation day for BBBS - which is tomorrow) Instead it's pay as you go ... bathrooms one day a week, a load of laundy every night, etc. I will admit I am lazy with the vacume bit - I love my new one, but was scared to death by it as a little kid (mom would threaten to vacume up my toys and I'd be face to face with it crying as I scrambled to get them all) As a grownup, I'm OK when I get it going though :goodvibes

Not often enough in our house for me. My DGF and I have different ideas of what cleaning entails. And oddly, it's me that would like our house to be cleaner than it is. It's not filthy by any means but I would like it to be cleaned better and more often.

My husband said would you tell her she has bad who-haa, he said telling her she can't clean house would be almost as bad!!!

Send her out for some girl fun (nails and toes done) and clean it yourself!!

Wow, you folks have me thinking we must live in filth! We are constantly doing the basic stuff (kitchen counters, pick up stuff, sweep, etc.) but the "deep cleaning" certainly isn't once a week. We both work and are active with other stuff too. I also spend a lot of time driving DS7 around to all the stuff he likes to do. Each weekend I pick an area of the house and try to really clean that - this weekend was pickup/sort out/organize all of DS's toys/crafts/schoolwork and vacuum everything. Next weekend will probably be bathrooms. The only time it ALL gets done at once is when we are going to have company over. Then we all go into overdrive and clean everything!

We are supposed to CLEAN it???

What next? Washing clothes and showering????

Clean do basics once a week. Deep cleaning takes place when I feel like it.

Things do daily bathrooms and washing dishs.

I have a cleaning lady come in every other week. She deep cleans everything top to bottom including washing and changing sheets. I could not manage without her! I pick up and try to keep things tidy in the meantime. I vacum about every other day and always keep the bathroom and kitchen counters clean.

Oh...and laundry every day!

I hate the idea of anything dirty being around so I throw it in!

Wow! You guys really make me feel bad. I do floors, dust and windex at least once a week. But the WHOLE house at once - I only do that about once a month. I can't see spending that much time every week. It takes hours for me to do the entire house in one day.

upstairs one week, downstars the next week,. when im going on hoilday i have a blittz and do every room including cupboards drawers and wardrobes, fridge and freezer. santize the washing machine, dishwasher and all the drains, wash all the curtains and loose covers for the furniture etc, by which time i really need my break!
