just so you guys know, this will be a very short installment. i'm leaving tomorrow morning for a visit to nashville, so i've got a million-and-one things to do today. but i just had to give you a little TR-crack to tide you over for the weekend...

also, there will be no videos in this installment. i don't have time to upload them! but i promise more in future installments.
by the way, i don't know why my pictures are so small now. they used to be big and pretty and now they're not. i'm using the exact same method i did earlier on photobucket. has anyone else had this problem and know what's going on???
anyway.....on to the TR!
ETA: i figured out how to get my pictures back to the normal size! so the ones below are now bigger for your viewing pleasure.
-------------------------------------------------------
so we awoke on our fourth and final day of our disney vacation. today was MK day....let the magic begin!!! i couldn't wait and neither could ray. this is the one day he had agreed to get up early enough for us to make rope drop.
i did my usual get-up-before-ray-and-get-ready-while-drinking-coffee thing and then woke ray up. he was moving kinda slow this morning, but got up nevertheless. i told him he could get ready and i was gonna head down to the bus line to get a spot. no breakfast for us this morning....we had a kingdom of magic to conquer!
i got in the bus line and one bus came, but no ray. that's okay because we wouldn't have made it on anyway. i was the second person in line for the next bus. ray makes it to the bus stop before the next bus comes and we're off!!!
we got to the MK around 8:45. to my surprise, it wasn't crowded at all. i mean, of course there was a small crowd in front of the train station for rope drop, but it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be.
they started the show promptly at 9:00 and it was really cute! the only thing i didn't like about it was the chic's voice that's sort of the person leading the show. she's in the pictures below in the pink dress with the red hair. i don't know how she got that job because her voice is really annoying!!!
here are some pics from the rope drop ceremony. i love how the characters come in on the train! and of course i had to try to get a pic of alice and the mad hatter. she's probably my second favorite character behind peter pan! i got alice, but kind of cut the mad hatter out of the picture! the family that got to officially open the magic kingdom was from tennessee, which is where we're originally from. of course i didn't know them, but thought that was pretty cool.
as soon as the show was over....or actually, no.....a few seconds BEFORE the show was over, the cattle started making their way to main street. i mean, they didn't even wait for the confetti to land! all the CMs were out with their mickey hands waving "good morning" to everyone on main street. i don't know if they did this when i was a kid or not because i don't remember, but HOW COOL!!!!!! i just love the MK! i get goosebumps thinking about it!
we took a few pics of the castle with no one (save these few commandos that beat us to it) in front of it. ray and i are thinking of putting a down payment on it soon!!!

here are some pics from the first few moments of the day at MK ....... can i live here, please?
and who doesn't take this picture?
oh, i almost forgot.....we got a couple more photopass pics taken.....
we made our way over to fantasyland (per my DIS research!) and decided to do the mad tea party first. nothing like a coffee-filled and otherwise-empty stomach plus the mad tea party to wake you up in the morning!!!
fun. that's all. just fun.
next we made our way over to snow white's scary adventures. no wait!!! ray had mentioned that he had to ride this.....something about childhood memories. we road in "bashful" and it was super scary!!!
the next adventure had to be this.....my favorite disney movie of all time! and NO WAIT AGAIN!!!!
of course the flight to neverland was super fun. and since when did ariel get a part in peter pan???
speaking of ariel, i wanted to meet her next. we headed towards ariel's grotto and got in line.
i think the wait time was like 15 minutes and we probably waited about 10. there was a little girl behind us with super cute curly hair that just didn't grasp the concept of waiting in line. she was so excited to meet ariel and she kept trying to squeeze in between people. her poor mother kept having to apologize to everyone. so cute!
ray, of course, had no interest in meeting ariel. when i walked up to her she asked me where i swam from and i told her atlanta, to which her eyes got really big and she said, "atlantica???? i've never seen you in those waters." i told her i was swimming around there all the time. i had bought a post card for my best friend's little girl for ariel to sign because they were coming to WDW in june and i wanted to send something to her that said, "can't wait to meet you" or something similar. it was a princess post card and ariel asked me, "do you want me to leave room for all the other princesses on here?" and i said, "nope, just you. you're her favorite." she looked at me, raised an eyebrow and said, "really?" she was probably the best character (besides alice and the mad hatter, which i'll get to later) that we encountered on this trip!
here we are together......BFF!!!
i will end here as i now have a million-and-one things to do and less time to do it! next up....i get to meet one of my FAVORITE characters and our adventures in toon town.....look at that princess line.....
