DD’s BF is arriving from the UK in 11 days which means I have to begin preparing for a house guest. In the summer, certain rooms in the house are neglected because we’re outside a lot, so I have a lot of cleaning and decluttering to do. DD can’t help me this weekend because she’s a maid of honor in her friend’s wedding. Thankfully the weather is beautiful which will be wonderful for this wedding on the beach.
School is still very challenging, but finally the superintendent visited the kindergarten classes and saw firsthand what we are dealing with…he was kicked in the leg by one child and scratched by another
. He demanded that my 2nd meeting for my student be moved from the end of October to next week. So that is progress. In the meantime, all kindergarten teachers across the district are suffering just like I am because of inappropriate special education placements and having no paraprofessionals to assist us with our challenging 2020 babies and their unique needs including diaper changing. Apparently all of that time at home was not used for toilet training and school readiness. Instead we have too many maladjusted children to handle. My classroom is more like a daycare center than a kindergarten classroom.
