Great intallment Dawn!

I was cracking up at the pink Le Clic comment! I had one of those!

And then I was cracking up at the scooter nazi comment!

But when I read about the guy on the monorail, I was literally CRYING, I was laughing SO hard!

I, of course, had to read all of these snippets to DH, which he enjoyed. And I almost couldn't read the part about the guy on the monorail because I couldn't stop laughing long enough to get out more than two words at a time! I finally did, and he was cracking up too. When I got to the part about what the guy really said, he asked if you were the one who figured out the "literin feld" comment on my first TR. (not sure if you remember that or not.) Apparently he thinks you have very good deciphering skills!

Can't wait for more, but sad to see it end! Maybe we'll both soon be writing our pre-trippies for Sept together!

As for the birds thing...I have a friend who was a similar fear. BUT, she got pooped on by about 3 canadian geese flying overhead when we were about 17, so I can understand her fear

my bird fear comes from when i was around 9 and i went to get the mail at my grandma's house. there was a mama bluejay that had a nest in the bush next to the mailbox and she attacked me and scratched my head....very traumatic! my cousin (who is older than me) decided he would be all big and bad and wanted to prove that it's silly to be afraid of a bird, so he tried to get the mail that very same day and that bird chased him down the street!!! i understand they're protecting their nests, but ever since then they just freak me out....

well, the good news is you're leaving for disney next monday......the bad news is i'm sure i won't be done by then! i'm currently swamped with work (so what's new?) and we're in the middle of buying a car and you know how time-consuming that can be. but at least you'll have something to read when you get back! About scooter nazis, my friend got her foot run over by a scooter nazi last year at AK (our first day there). When my friend told the woman that she had just run over her foot, the woman said "well, you must have seen that I was in a scooter." No "I'm sorry", no nothing! So my friend was left with a smashed up and swollen foot for the rest of the trip.

The video of Prince Phillip's bf had me laughing out loud. You are too funny!

i'm sure it's frustrating to try to maneuver through the people at WDW in a scooter, but they're just so mean about it! i don't get it!

Your last two installments had me cracking up! You are too funny! The lapu lapu looks so good! Let me know if you perfect the recipe at home.

it was sooooooo yummy!!!! i haven't perfected it, but then again i haven't tried very hard. because of my diet, i'm only permitted one alcoholic drink per week and that's usually consumed when we go eat mexican on friday nights! how exciting is my life??? i'll let you know if i get it down, though!

I wish I could think of nice comebacks like Scooter Nazi!! I get so angry I can't think of anything like that to say! It's only later on that the perfect comeback pops into my head. Infact, I could use some quick comebacks with SIL!!

you're probably like me and cry when you're mad, too. sometimes i can think of things to say and sometimes i just get so mad i could hit something.....depends on the situation.

I'm so glad we booked the dinner! You definitely made a great choice for breakfast there...I personally feel it's one of the best in Disney for breakfast. My DH had the infamous Tonga Toast...he said it was rich, but he loved it. I had the macadamia nut pancakes.....they were awesome! And of course, the coffee is some of the best (if not the THE BEST) on property.

i'm thinking of the tonga toast. is it mushy inside? i don't like mushy things. i'm so picky! it's between the tonga toast and the big kahuna breakfast thing. i'd love to try those breakfast potatoes they have! and i'm DEFINITELY getting some coffee!!!

ok, so I cant possibly read all of this now but wanted to mark the thread. This is an awesome trip report. I hope you rode TOT. I didnt ride it 2 years ago, but last year managed to bring myself to do it and kicked myself all the way out out MGM for not doing it sooner, its my favorite. Wow....That's soooommmme TR! Great Job!

I just wanted to add one thing that stuck with me from page one-about your DH's interest in going to Yellowstone! Yellowstone NP and WDW are my two favorite places on earth-and for very very different reasons of course. Both transport you to another place where real world worries seem to at least dissipate if not disappear altogether! And don't worry about how much of a "good time" you'd have at YNP....it's too spectacular for words, and I just don't think it's possible to NOT be in absolute awe virtually all the time!

The last time we (me, my DW and two DD's), we were approaching the Old Faithful Inn by car, and I said to my wife "Oh Wow! This reminds me soooo much of Disney World, doesn't it?" Just something about the anticipation of seeing something so spectacular! Disney's man-made and YNP, well.....isn't.

If you're interested in chatting about YNP at all, feel free to PM me any time! It's the only place in the world that creates the same level of excitement as WDW for me-and I could talk about it forever!!!

we actually decided to put off the yellowstone trip for a couple of years because he wanted to go back to disney! we're definitely going there, though. it just ended up being too expensive of a trip for us right now. we live in georgia, so the drive will be horrid! but we're gonna do it....i promised him!

Thanks so much for that little treat. I told the next people on line and they had a little girl and I mentioned to her that Tink was here but you could only see her when you looked at the picture. She was so excited. I think they went right to the photo shop at Epcot (I think I might have cost those parents 15 bucks to purchase the picture

when i left you were were rolling our thoroughly full bodies out of kona café after our filling and very yummy dinner. we hopped back on the monorail and were entering the MK again in no time. i love main street in the late afternoon!

what to do next? we decided to head back over to toon town to see how the character greeting lines looked. of course, the princess line was still ridiculous, so we got in line to meet donald, daisy and chip and dale.

we had to wait maybe 10 minutes and first was donald. he was so cute…..can you believe i’m taller than someone???? i can definitely tolerate this duck!

next came chip and dale. as we approached them ray said, “which one is chip and which one is dale?” i said, “duh! chip has a black nose and dale has a red nose. DON’T YOU KNOW ANYTHING???” chip and dale heard me and started pointing to their teeth and their eyes, too. apparently they wanted to make sure that we knew that chip has one tooth and dale has two and that chip has no eyelids and that dale has “lazy eyes.” i never actually noticed that before! anyway, here’s our pic with the two of them….

i had to include this one. i’m not usually one who enjoys posting pictures of my backside on the internet for the entire world to see, but when my friend anna saw this picture she said, “it looks like dale’s checking out your butt, stepping back and saying, ‘hmmmmmm….break me off a piece of that’!” AND IT DOES!!!!

next came daisy. now i don’t remember much about daisy. i think she was kinda quiet. she was cute and all….just don’t remember much about her. and yes, i am actually taller than someone else again!

after our character encounters, we decided to just head back into fantasyland and go wherever our little hearts desired. we realized, to our dismay, that we hadn’t ridden dumbo yet! how can one come to MK and not ride dumbo???? so we hopped in line. i think we waited like 15 minutes. soon we got to pick our elephant and i wanted the green one. here’s me getting ready for our flying elephant adventure……is this ride scary????

i have a question: why do they give you a card to get on dumbo? we never did figure that one out!

after dumbo we moseyed over towards the castle and decided to ask a nice man to take our picture in front of the cinderella fountain…..

we made our way through the castle and decided to stop at the little shop inside where i found this…..

sure…just let me just pull out my change from dinner and we’ll be all set!

ahhhhhh….main street at dusk…..

apparently it was time for us to model with the statues in the courtyard in front of the castle. here’s ray doing his imitation of pluto….

i call this one goofy, goofier and goofiest!

and of course I have to include this one….

we then decided to ride BTMR one more time. as we were making our way through liberty square and then frontierland, i slowly started to notice these gigantic white birds on EVERY roof corner and fence post around us. i was seriously freaked out. i mean, everywhere i looked there were these huge white birds! i’m thinking it was the same kind that snuck up behind me near space mountain earlier that day…..freaky! i looked at ray and said, “they’re planning an attack….i just know it!” so i started speed-walking through frontierland over to BTMR and was so relieved that there wasn’t any line, so we could get right on and not worry about the birds anymore!

by this time it was around 8:00 and we knew we needed to get back to the hub to find a spot for wishes at 9:00. i wanted to go back by pirates on the way to see if captain jack sparrow happened to be giving the tutorial again (plus i didn’t want to go back through frontierland with the birds again!).

no jack sparrow for us……but i did get another nice little surprise. we’re walking along right in front of pirates and this guy with a dream team uniform walks up to us and tells us happy anniversary. we of course thanked him and then he saw my shirt and said, “i see you like tinker bell?” i said that i loved her and he asked me if i liked her big or if i liked her small? um……what? sure….i’ll play along. i said, “i’ll take her any way i can get her!” then he pulls out this little black velvet bag and holds it up to ray’s ear and shakes it, then looks at ray and says, “how do you think she’ll like this?” ray just smiled and nodded. then the guy takes the bag and puts it over my head and i see little gold flecks falling down all around me. he then says, “you just got pixied by tinker bell!!!”

corny? yes.

cute? definitely.

was i into it? you bet your pixie dust i was!!!

here’s me right after i got pixied…..

i asked ray later if he heard anything when the guy put the bag up to his ear and he said no, so he just smiled because he didn’t know what else to do! pretty cool that i can say that i’ve actually been sprinkled with pixie dust though! i spent an hour later that night picking that stuff outta my hair, but i saved every speck of it and it will be included in my scrapbook (if i ever get around to making it!).
