It's always kinda sad to see a TR end but it seems that your end is just a beginning... How lucky you are that you will be able to go again in a couple months, even for a short time, and then again next April.

Reading your final thoughts/tips I would have to agree with you on all of them. There is something magical about Disney and to share it with loved ones makes it even better.

Yeah, we're going Dec. 9-15, so from what I hear, it should be pretty good crowd-wise.

I really enjoyed your TR!!!

I know exactly what you mean by falling in love again. When DH said to me out of his own free will that he was having a good time, I would have married him all over again on the spot. He was NOT into the vacation at all during the planning stages, and when people asked where we were going it was "Disney, AGAIN" with an eye roll. (we had been once together before and stayed off site) He had a blast and I think it will be easier to talk him into going again!

I never knew the other 2 differences between Chip and Dale and Tink didn't fly the first time we saw Wishes either but it meant we had to go see it again Glad you thought the English kids were cute especially with there chips instead of fries So sorry about your menu and banner though but hey another reason to go back

By the way.....seeing as though you're a TINK fan.....if you ever have a chance, try to make it out to Disneyland. Tink flies during the fireworks for quite some time...it's not just a quick flight from the castle like at WDW. When I get to the Disneyland portion of my TR, I'll be posting a video of her, if you're interested! I'm sorry that you didn't get to see her at the World. But, at least you got pixied!

i think the reason i hold disney so dear to my heart (other than the childhood memories thing) and the reason i love it so much is because of what i do for a living. almost every day i am required to see the worst sides of people. i see the nasty divorces and custody battles. i see the arguments over petty things. i see the termination of parental rights hearings. i see people dependent on all sorts of drugs whose lives have been destroyed. i see people who have hurt other people physically and have no remorse about doing so. because of all these things i see with my job, i think disney provides such an escape for me. i know this is true with most DISers....i just find it to really strike a cord with me. while you're at disney you are in a different world free form the heartache and tragedy of the real world. you can be a kid again.....literally....by wearing your mickey ears and spinning in the teacups until you can't stand up. it's SUCH an escape for me from reality....the best! and now that it's in my blood, i don't think i can do without it! it really has become a part of our lives and i'm very thankful for the ability to be able to save money and continue to enjoy it for many, many years to come.

I can't agree more with you about the real world and then being at WDW, it is such an escape for all of us, especially when you stay in property and not have to leave. You stay in fantasyland and forget about everything else.

Well I guess I was a little disappointed about the surprise, I was hoping you were gonna tell us you had found your menu or that they had sent you another one, but that is OK, we can all forgive you . It will be great when you start you new Pre-TR, and then your TR.

i'm excited about the mini trip! i'm sure it will fly by, but it's just a taste of disney to tide me over until april......i'll need it!

ray's not as into it as i am as far as the planning, but he gives me his two cents every now and then, which is more than he would do last time. my goal on the september trip is to get him something wtih jedi mickey on it...he's mentioned a couple times that he meant to get something but forgot. so i can't let him down!

the little english kids were just the cutest! they were cracking us up. so adorable! and i'll use ANYTHING as an excuse to go back!

DH wants to go to yellowstone sometime soon, so i'm thinking that i can somehow turn it into a "trip out west" instead and fit disneyland in somehow!

I agree with you that sometimes you've got to let the gameplan fall by the wayside (not an easy thing for me to do, by the way) and just enjoy yourselves.

Well, I guess you think I fell in the abyss or something. As you can see, I didn't. I have read all of your TR and just loved it. I am sorry that I did not take the time to post. Life has been so busy and crazy. Not that I am making excuses or anything

I loved your TR - you really did a fantastic job. It was fun getting to know you and your DH. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

Your final thoughts and tips were great! Of course, I Loved, Loved all the pics and videos!!!

I had to mention the video camera. I went to the store and talked to a sales rep and discovered that our cameras are not the same. Yours is digital and mine isn't . I was so, so sad to discover that! He said they were exactly the same except for that one little thing. Or should I say that one BIG thing!!!!

On a side not...I had my camera sitting on the top (side) of our wall unit charging. The wires were handing down the side close to the wall...sounds strange but hopefully you get the idea. Anyway my DH was messing with something in that area and somehow pulled the camera off and it hit him in the head and then it crashed to the floor. I was like, "Oh no, is the camera OK?" He said, "what about my head?" I said "your head will heal, did you break the camera?" Anyway, the answer is Yes, he broke the camera. He obviously has a very hard head!
It will record voices, and can still be used as a player/editor but will not record video images. (missed DS 13 bday and the first day of school ) I contacted Sony and I have to send it in...it is only 6 months old or so. Thankfully it is still under a partial warranty. We will have to pay for labor but parts are still covered. I hope to have it back for our trip to the world.

Well thanks again Dawn...I am very excited that you have 2 trips on the horizon. I will now have to go and read your new Pre-TR!
