We are planning on arriving in Orlando a day early and are thinking about making a trip over to KSC. However we need to make it back to Orlando by 4pm to check in to our timeshare as well as do some other things. Would this give us plenty of time to see most of the things at KSC?

What time are you arriving in Orlando? If I remember right it takes about an hour to drive to KSC. Depending on how much looking around you want to do, and how many movies you want to see, it can be done in less than a day. Don't miss out on the Astronaut Hall of Fame. Lots of interactive things for the kids. Also, be prepared the food is extremely expensive there.
Have fun.

I would say you need to give it a full day. We went on a tour that left orlando at about 8am and returned at 7pm. There is so much to see :-)

I agree,

It is a full day trip, especially if you have people who are really interested in space exploration. There are lots of things to see and do there.

Definately a full day. Don't be tempted to pass up the Astronaut's Museum as both myself and my DD thought it was better than KSC!
The food is expensive as the other poster said (even worse than Disney! :scared:).. and I thought admission was high too.. but I was told AAA has a decent discount on it so maybe you can check that out.

Thanks for the advice.

We will arrive the night before, so we can make it there by the time it opens, however that will still only give us about 6 hours there. If we skipped the IMAX movies, would that give us enough time to do everything else? I am really hoping to do the new space shuttle launch simulater.
