How much time should I schedule between FP+

How much time should I schedule between my Fastpasses. I was thinking one on every hour as long as the rides are in the same area or every 2 hours if we had to walk a ways. Please give me some input. I didn't realize how hard this would be so far in advance. I have an 8 and 5 year old and would like to eliminate backtracking in the parks as much as possible.

We book one for every hour regardless of where the attraction is located in relation to the one before or after it in order to speed up the process of being able to book a 4th. If I had a 10-11a FP+ for PP and an 11-12p FP+ for HM I would get into the Pan queue at 10:40 and then proceed to HM immediately afterwards. If the 3rd FP+ was for BTMR for 12-1p I would then have time to spare in getting to the back of Frontierland for the attraction.

I find it easiest to start by laying out a plan with approximate times and work from there.

Even if you plan them as close together as you can. You still have 2 hours to go to two attractions. So if you get in line for attraction #1 at 9:00 (9-10 FP), you have until 11:00 to complete your ride on attraction #2 (10-11 FP). That is a long time.
