Why does Disney make it so hard to do something like this? Why don't they let people sign up, like they do for a fp+? You have to get there before the park opens, walk over to the area like a herd of sheep and then wait in line, sometimes for over an hour. Sorry, Disney does not make things easy for people. Don't they realize, it's vacation and people don't want this type of rushing and stress first thing in the morning.
That's not an issue at all!!! Keep looking and you will definitely find a PPO ADR. I didn't get my PPO ADR at H&V until 90 days mark and my trip is in August where the predicated crowd level is 7. Touringplans.com has a dining reservation finder that you can use for free. It has helped me to find some hard-to-find adr.
How about getting a PPO ADR at H&V? Don't ppl with PPO ADR get to go into the park early to sign up for JTA before ADR??
Agreed. But I guess the alternative is they open the registration up 30 days out at midnight and people are talking about staying up and starting to attempt to log in at 11:58 and IT'S SO STUPID TO PLAN MY VACATION 30 DAYS OUT and etc etc. With this kind of demand, the queue will be there, it's just a matter of where and when Disney creates the queue.
Personally, I'd rather do it the electronic way, as you suggest, but oh well.
Just an FYI, they don't do the midnight opening anymore for adr's, it's 7am in the morning.
Got it. But I was thinking more about nabbing fast passes.
You won't be able to sign up BEFORE your ADR, but if you finish with your meal at least 15 min before opening time, you will be inside the park at the internal rope holder before the gate crowd gets there.
I'm sure that I had read posts from people who had a PPO ADR at H&V and they were allowed to do Jedi sign-up before their ADR. Has that changed?
Is it new policy? Do you mind share more about that please?
That's what I have heard too. A friend was there first week of July. She had a 8:05 ADR at H&V and she signed her children up for JTS before their ADR.
Thank you for the explanation. My answer is based more on logistics than anything reported. To be able to sign up before your ADR means there has to be someone at the sign up to speak with and do the sign up. I just don't see them being in place and ready for guests at that time. If your friend was able to do it, then I would go hoping for the same, but expecting it to be after.
What questions could they ask and what do the child have the be willing to do? Can the parents see the show going on when it's playing? What are they age requirements for the child? Thanks

We waited much longer. We were there at rope drop and hustled immediately there- then waited a little over an hour in line. This was in October, though...
Anyone can watch the show. The stage is just to the side of Star Tours. Can other people watch the show? or only those who got their name on the list?
I've heard of several people who have signed up before their ADR, even before an 8 or 8:05 ADR. The CM at H&V check in specifically told them to go over to sign up for JTA before checking in at the restaurant if they were interested. You won't be able to sign up BEFORE your ADR, but if you finish with your meal at least 15 min before opening time, you will be inside the park at the internal rope holder before the gate crowd gets there.
