How much spending money

I'm taking $500 for the 3 of us for "just in case" mioney.
We've got the DDP and I'll be putting all my drinks / tips on the room so the card will pick that up at the end of the trip.
The car is taken care of with the card too as will any shopping.

Why am I taking the $500 again?:lmao:

Tip remember to go to front desk the night before you check out,As if you have any $ left you can use them for any charges before they Charge the CC,if you have it on file.Which is usually midnight the day before you depart.

Cheers Paul, will have to remember that one... :thumbsup2

I will be doing the Florida Mall, both premium outlets, walmart, publix and the Mall of Millenia!:) We take a far bit just for spending and some years we do spend it others we don't!
Anyway the 300 lynx bus goes from TTC then to DTD and its very quick to the Florida Mall and only cost a couple of $'s each way. We may get a week pass seeing as though we are going to the other malls as well.:) The bus stop is outside the Hilton Hotel right on the corner by DTD Market place..

Thank you I will write that down and get the buses I may even do another mall seems the buses are cheap and easy

We got the lynx 111 bus from the corner of DTD to the Florida Mall. It was $2 per person per trip.

See ive been worrying myself stupid over how much to take with us!!
and lately all that can go wrong and use up our money has done

There is Me DH and our 3 sons 7,7,and "10 on 1st day of trip" we also have my mum with us who so we will have the automatic 18% on all TS meals which we have 1 booked everyday and some days we have 2 so i know this will come in at a fair amount for 15 days!

We then have our 2 nights at AOA so we can do MNSSHP so will need money for food but will eat at the food court on those days NO TS meals.
Then its off to I-drive for 4 nights to do Universal and Sea world. so need food money for those days.

We do like to pick up a few souviners like Disney frames,Disney Xmas decs and Halloween decs plus Disney charms for my bracelet and Starwars lego for DH :lmao:
We also like to visit K-mart Wallmart etc as my Mum loves these shops and has to go every trip and has done for the last 50 odd years!!! And i like the malls but will only go to them for 1 or 2 afternoons as our boys are still young and want to be in the parks every waking minute.

All tickets apart from MNSSHP will be paid for before we leave!

Sooo we will have £2000 to take with us for the 21nights and im praying this will be enough as we UNLIKE others dont like putting it onto a CC we will however have £500 emergency money aswell which we always put away onto our joint card incase of being stranded.

Does anybody think this will be enough :confused3

£2000 will be a minimum of $3000, maybe more depending on the exchange rate. So the actual question you need to ask yourself is "Is $1000 a week enough?"

:goodvibes

That is a really good tip.

Just a word of warning for those taking a lot of cash - check your travel insurance policy to ensure you are covered. Most cover you up to a certain amount (e.g. ours is £300 for our cash and documents). You can always get cash out when you are over there if you don't like using a credit card (we have found the exchange rates favourable and like having no hassle of just paying the credit card off immediately on our return; our CC also charges no commission).

Having been "stranded", I also wouldn't go anywhere without a CC as a source of funds.

I haven't totalled ours up yet, got back last weekend but at a guess it will be in the region of £1300, thats for 21 nights free DDP at OKW and 3 nights offsite but it includes things like £75 for parasailing, $75 for birthday dinner extras like cake, drinks etc. we also spent quite a bit on new photo frames.

I have now had time to total up our spend.
3 nights offsite food then 21 nights free DDP, 3 adults. We spent just a shade over £1,000, that covered tips, alcohol, parasailing, birthday cake, meals not covered by DDP, gas, parking (only at clearwater) Little Toot & all our purchases but excludes the £700 DS spent.

Wow thats fantastic! we will definatly use the bus to get their even if we need a taxi for on the way back!

The Premium Outlets are just as easy (well nearly!!) but you have to ask for a transfer. You hop on the 50 bus at the same place and change at Seaworld for a number 8...:)
