How much notice is given when Magic Kingdom changes opening hour?

I'll be visiting (first time!!) the last week of March 2017. I have an 8:15am ADR at BOG on my birthday. If the park opens at 9am, it will be my perfect birthday morning

If the opening is pushed up to 8am, how much notice will we get? Time to cancel the dining reservation?

Yes; you'll have time to Cancel as you just need to Cancel by 12:00 midnight the night before your morning ADR.

You may only have a week or two notice. Sometimes more. This unfortunately happens all the time.

I'll be in WDW in 19 days and times for most of the parks were changed just last week. So I had about 3 weeks notice! Keep an eye on the times, as soon as they announce the new times then FP+ become available for the additional hour(s).

I've had park hours change on me while on vacation. But typically you do get a couple of weeks notice.

Last few months times have been updated about a month out. So I'd look about mid Feb. Then always double check a day or so out from your trip that hours haven't changed.

Is there any site that notifies you when park hours change for your specified dates via email so you don't have to constantly check and re-check hours?

I have seen the MK extend hours on the day that we were in the park! I'm not talking about summer or holiday hours either, so sometimes you never know.

Same question as baketank (above) - I am going the week before Easter, and I fully expect (several) schedule changes between now and then. Any suggestions on the best site to check for updates on park hours? Kenny the Pirate and WDWPrepSchool both seem pretty good, but wondering if anyone else has any suggestions?

I use disney own website, since if it not on it then it may not be right

We've been there and had them open the park an hour early without notification, gotten notification by phone call the night before, and had the usual changes occur during the week we were there to accommodate crowds, weather issues, etc.

Is it really that important to be in MK before regular hours?

When this happened during my June vacation. I got to the check-in at our hotel, and the cast member asked if I wanted any park information papers. I said sure, and I was shocked that the times on the paper for the Magic Kingdom the next morning had moved up. I had planned that trip all the way up to the day we left with all the park openings on a word document I created, and the switch happened that quick. My friend and I decided to get up earlier, because I wanted my friend to experience the Welcome Show, but the time change was not a happy start to my trip.

I used WDWPrepSchool and it sent me an email notification. I think touringplans may have as well. But there was a UK site that I used, too, but I can't remember it now. It was the one that used to have the FP availability on it. It's a message board site...anyone remember?
