I have to admit, it makes me want to throw up to write this, but here's ours:

Grand Floridian June 1-8
Deluxe dining
8 day park hopper
$ 6,832.14

I will admit though, I am praying daily for a room discount! :rolleyes1 But, our last trip was in 2010 and we did put it off this one until now, when the new Fantasyland would be open. So, it's not too bad considering we've been stashing away since we got back in 2010.....

The GF is worth it!!! Besides your going at a peak time! I stayed GF that time last yr and got a room only code so just keep looking or even calling!!!

ASMU/POR Dec 16-22, 2012 & POFQ Sept 8-15, 2013

Jan. 5-11
6 nights, 6 1/2 days
2 adults, one 2-year old celebrating his 3rd birthday during the trip
POR king room - $915
6 day base tickets for 2 adults from Undercover Tourist w/Mousesavers newsletter discount - $560 / 7 day $580 (we haven't purchased yet, but will probably go ahead and get the 7-day)
One-way flight out to Orlando for 3 - TBD, looking like $500ish
One-way flight home from Orlando for 3 - $432 (booking separate one-way flights is actually saving as much as $300, depending on the flight options, over booking round-trip)

$2,427 + cost of food, estimated total around $3,000

Cost of room-only discount + discounted park tickets + food out-of-pocket was basically a wash compared to Play/Stay/Dine package (approx $2,000 for non-package if we spend about $600 on food for the week, versus $2,100 for P/S/D package).

Primarily booked non-package because we don't want to pay in full in mid-November, will be getting a year-end bonus and would rather pay for everything after that bonus is paid. Only thing I'm out of pocket for before the bonus is the room deposit, less than $200.

Also have some hopes of spending less on food. We're allowing nearly $100/day, which seems like a lot for 2 adults and a picky toddler doing mostly counter service. So, if we can keep it to less than $120/day, we'll save by booking our components separately versus the package.

ASMU/POR Dec 16-22, 2012 & POFQ Sept 8-15, 2013

Oh believe me, I'm SOOOO excited! We stayed there in 2010, but we went in Sept, so it was alot cheaper. (plus we had a 40% off code) You are giving me hope now for some kind of discount !! I'm so psyched to hear that you had one at the same time last year. I've got my eyes peeled everyday for something! I have called twice and both times they've said there are only codes through May, but I'll keep trying ! :)

Well, we haven't booked yet and I just looked and it seems like all GV rooms at GF are sold out for August 7-12, 2013 (which, in my opinion, is ridiculous). I just don't understand how all GV rooms could be booked up overnight. No conference is that large!:lmao:

I mean last year we were able to book a GV room a month before 4th of July with our FL Resident rate. How can this be?

I feel like we are paying A LOT but compared to others, I feel pretty good. We have 6 in our family (Hubby and I and 4 kids, ages 17, 13, 11, 8) so we HAD to get 2 rooms.

Did you look into the ASMu suites or AOA? You may have gotten off cheaper..

We briefly considered the AoA but realized with the older kids we have, we needed a second bathroom and more space. The theme at all of the Value resorts were more more "loud" and bold, which is great for younger kids. We wanted something much more subtle. We're very happy and are looking forward to POR.

I just said that I thought we were paying a lot but when I looked at what some other people are paying with only 1-2 kids, I don't feel so bad. Our's is still cheaper then a lot.

AOA does have two bathrooms!!

It's me and DD13, Jan 2-7 (sssshhhhhh it's a surprise!)

Airfare - $350(!)
5 nights at Pop - $425
6D PH from UT - $650
Food - $400
-------
$1825

We just have one TS meal, I was able to get LeCellier for the first time! We bring our breakfasts and eat in line for the bus. DD still prefers kids meals so that saves a few bucks.

Very happy I scored $175 r/t airfare!

Who knows about souvenirs...maybe $100. DD will buy a couple pins, I hope they still have the 'spend $40 get a deal on something' tote and blanket I saw posted on easywdw. If they do then maybe a little more.

I am going to be booking soon but still trying to decide where to stay.
We are going in Nov. 2013. I want to stay in a deluxe resort but can't decide which one. I was strongly leaning toward the Contemporary, but now I am considering the Poly, Beach Club or Boardwalk.
I am also hoping and praying for Free Dining!
We will do 5 day base tickets. Not planning on park hoppers at this time.
