How much is your 2013 WDW vacation going to cost you?

My Costs for Jan 2013 for 2 people

Total about $4,000

WDW:

POFQ 10 days with S/P/D discount for 2 - $2,700.82

Upgrade to AP - around $600

Holiday Inn Nearest Universal 8 days with Orlando Flex Tickets package for 2 - $1,908.65

Plane tickets - haven't bought them yet but I'm budging them around $3,000 for 2.

Spending money: as much as I can!

2 Adults from January 29 - February 3 (5 nights, 6 days):

AKL Arusha View
DxDDP
4 day base tickets
Total: $3,236

Airline tickets for 2 from D.C. to MCO: $353

Rental Car: Free with credit card points

Estimated Gas/Miscellaneous: $500

Total: $4,089

Now...I always got a $100 statement credit from DV, minus the $49 annual fee = $51.00 statement credit, applied to the vacation bringing the total to:$4,038.

I'm also hoping to get a $100 rewards card before I leave so that'll take some off my miscellaneous expenses and so I'm putting the total trip at: $3,938.

I keep going back and forth on changing my resort to POFQ because that will save us almost $1,100...I can't decide!

We will be going three times in 2013. We were very lucky this year and will be getting an annual pass in December which will be used 20 days over the course of the year. For the purposes of the "cost" of tickets per trip I figured out the per-day cost for our tickets.

so am i-our trip next august is nearly 4 times that!

"oh my gosh, i've just done the calculation and i knew it was a lot-but i'm shocked

have not shared with anyone else-dh has a "rough" idea -so here it goes-

3 adults, 1 child (16)

17 nights at pofq (august) and 14 nights also booked for the same period at a townhouse as we like the disney perks (emh, free qsdp) but also the space (3 bedrooms, living area, kitchen, 3 bathrooms, laundry) a villa/townhouse provides.

accommodation-
pofq-$3314.37
offsite townhouse-$1056.55-(2 bed villa at okw/ssr would've cost $8243.79!)
flights-$5083.83
airport hotel and parking-$383.71
disney tickets-$1824.19
rental car-$692.36
universal tickets-$727.38
spending money for gas, extra food and all other fun-$2700

which makes a grand total of $15,782.39-wowsa!!"

Wow, just looking at the first page of this thread, I guess I didn't overpay for my recent trip.

H has so many requirements to even take a trip, he hates to travel, that it is going to be hard for me to cut costs.

Looks like staying at a non value with a nice view is going to cost us, no matter what!

We are traveling to POR January 26-30 (4 nights). Three adults, three days in the parks (non-parkhopper), S/P/D program, ME bus (no car rental)...

Air: $594
POR S/P/D: $1767
Total: $2361

We will minimize purchases of trinkets and non-dining plan food. I did receive a $50 gift card for signing up for the Disney credit card, which we will use for something fun.

A couple other thoughts... I don't think the Parkhopper tickets have any value for us. We would need to walk back to the the park entrance, take a bus or monorail to another park, then walk in. Seems like a lot of wasted time, and tired feet. Any it costs extra to do this... strange.

Also, Disney packages default to a park ticket for every day of your trip. Although the extra days may not cost much, we have never had enough time on our arrival or departure days to visit a park. Getting to the hotel, checking-in, exploring the resort, swimming in the pool, Downtown Disney, and eating dinner give us plenty to do.

Someday I'd like to have a few extra days at the resort just to relax. Maybe volunteer at GKTW!

6 nights BWV Standard View 1 BR- 154 points
Tickets-$0 (bought Annual Passes during 2012 trip)
Food budget-$900
Tables in Wonderland Card-$75
Airfare from Baltimore-$750 (we were very happy with this price!)
Souvenirs-$300 (kids have also asked for Disney gift cards for Christmas)

So this trip will be $2025 without factoring in the cost of DVC, and I'm hoping we can come out even lower.

We'll be at WDW from 8/13-8/20/2012, 7 nights, 2 adults, 1 disney adult (DS14).

RT air from BDL to MCO $30 (using Southwest points)
POR 7 nts, standard view $969 (got a PIN for 35% off RO). Paid the deposit of $134.00-$28 left over Disney Rewards that are about to expire so $106 OOP. The rest will be covered with credit card points.
Meals/souvies $0. I have a combo of disney rewards, gift cards, and credit card points to cover all dining and extras (approx $1300).
Tickets from YES program estimated at $750 for 6 day PH/WPFM.

Total OOP: $886 :)

WDW 1/21 to 1/27 for 2 adults and one 4 year old
RT air $900
Garden View Poly Room Only $1837
Tickets $0 (Premiere Passports)

Ouch. I don't want to do the math...but here it goes... these all all rounded or guesstimates...

Total: $5800. Ouchies! Once I get everything finalized, ill have a better number.

This trip is my 21st birthday trip AND my sister's 23rd birthday trip...so we're going all out! Thank goodness for credit cards...because I REALLY don't mind paying off this one...
