How much is your 2012 Disney Vacation costing this year?

Going for a long weekend in August $973 for 3 nights staying CL at AKL and approximately $330 for Fla Res 3 day park passes with water parks and more. The current Fla Res discount on La Nouba ends soon, but I'm hoping there may be another by that point in august, but I'll estimate another $200 for that. CL takes the edge off the food budget, but another $200 for the weekend...just me and my daughter.

We were at WL for another long weekend (4day - the best pixie dust ever that trip!) in April, and I know we will be there in the fall for Epcot Food & Wine. It's crazy because even though sometime we get a little break being Florida residents, we have gone between 2 - 5 times a year for years, and it gets so expensive. I purposely use the shorter FL Res passes offered at different times of the year 'cause I can make them last a few visits. We aren't compelled to go to the parks every day we're there, and kind of enjoy the vibe and just chillin at the resort.

After all is said and done, these really are special memories and wonderful times together with family. Hopefully we can all find a comfortable price point in our budgets to enjoy these "priceless" moments together.

For two adults in Nov:
9 nights at Garden View GF room + 8 day Park Hopper tickets for 2= $4268.66
Airfare on Southwest= ~$500 per person
Dining for 2= $2000 in Disney gift cards (includes some extra for souvenirs)
2 MVMCP tickets= ~$120
Total for 2 ppl= $7388.66

WOW
:rotfl:

We are staying 6 nights at BC in August with dining plan for $3531 for 2 adults and 2 Disney adults
We are buying Premium APs and using them for this year and next year's vacation so half of that is $1384

That is a total of $4915
Last year the exact same trip during the same time of year cost us $5509 and we only had park hopper passes. So add the value of the wp&m option and we are saving even more!:woohoo:

Just curious. When are you going in August? Our trip is very similar because we have 2 adults and 2 Disney adults and we are staying at YC for the same amount of time. We opted for the free dining instead of the room discount and it saved us a lot of money. I think that you can upgrade your tickets to AP's when you arrive.

Everytime I reprice the stay portion the price changes. We are saving $200-700 over every new pricing. DD[46(for a couple more weeks)] is the most excited about going. DW(44) DS(14) DD (9)

We bought into dvc in 2008, we bought a resale and saved a ton of money. Reading this thread 4yrs. Later makes me feel pretty good about the $12,000 we spent on our 170 points at the vwl...

Too much!

2010: one child under 3, 2 adults and one child age 5, 5 nights at POFQ with trip insurance: $1500 (free dining)
2012: both kids need tickets and staying seven nights but still... $2400 for a standard room at POR with FD. No insurance. That seems like an insane price jump In two years. I get that we are staying two more nights and I have to pay for little guy to have a ticket this time, but still! that is still a big jump. And it's roughly the same dates, too.

We scored on airfare though. $880 for all four of us. In 2010 we drove and we probably spent around $700 between gas, hotels and all the meals required when it takes 28+ hours to make the drive!

2 adults in January at Kidani Village. DVC is $1440 per year. This was the second trip within 12 months so we used our exist annual passes which were about $450 each, so count that as $450 for this one trip. We also used our Tables in Wonderland card again, so count that as $40 for this one trip. $1525 for Autotrain with bedroom each way. About $375 for one of the tours at the Animal Kingdom park. $100 for a night at a hotel on the way down. $400 in food and incidentals. $100-$150 in gasoline. I don't remember how much we paid in tolls.

Ticket prices just went up an additional 4 dollars two days ago.:confused3

We're also budgeting some extra money for tips, alcoholic drinks, food at Universal, souvenirs, etc. Although this is a very high number and I'm not planning on actually spending this much.

This is what we are paying for our stay Aug 22-25 for 2 adults, dd 9 and ds 5.

  • 5 day park hoppers
For a total of $2576.10
Airfare $1076.00

So a grand total of $3652.10

We were hoping to do it for less than $3000 but dh didn't want to stay at a value yet. He is used to the Poly CL, so this will be something new to him.

- Room @ CSR for 8 nights: $1,624.50 (originally $2,030.64, but we were able to get a 25% discount not too long ago! woohoo)
- Airfare for 2 from NY to FL: $999.00 :scared1:

Not sure how much we will be needing for extra park tickets (we each already have 4 day park hoppers) .. as well as Universal tickets.

2 Adults

Room only at the Poly with 40% off discount from Aug 12 - Aug 25th (13 nights)

$3680 room

We purchased 2 AP's last saturday before price went up.

$1105

Airfare---we are using points on AT leaving so there was no cost (we paid for that already throughout the year by accumulating the points.

Coming home flight---$127 each x 2 = $254

We hope to keep the spending to about $1,500 which would include food and souvenoirs.

Total est for us is---+/- $6,500.

The next 2 times we go to WDW, Nov 2012 and August 2013, we wont have the cost of the AP.

Another good thing is we owe only $1,100 on the room and we have about $500 cash stashed away as our spending money already...so another $2,100 and we are "good to go".

We usually make deposits throughout the year, especially after xmas is over with, to try and "ease the pain" of paying all at once.

Its kinda high...BUT we enjoy our time together on vacation and its worth every penny.
