Hello All. Looking for some advice from someone who has sold different sized contracts. Planning on purchasing 200 points direct at VGF2 before the incentives change on the 24th (I'm waiting until right beforehand jic the incentives are better on the 25th). I purchased a small 50pt contract resale last month and do not have the blue card. I thought I would split it 150/50 but after reading that a majority of people do not keep their contracts more than a decade I'm wondering if I should split it 75/75/50. I don't plan of selling but who knows what life events may take place. Does anyone have experience selling a contract that is 150 or more points? Is it enough of a hassle that I should pay the extra fees and break it into 3 smaller contracts? Thank you for you advice!

Split - I just sold my 75 before the ink was dry on the contract for a very high per point price
I also have a 100 point contract - it’s just sitting - it’s not stripped but has only had one very low offer - I wished when I purchased I would have gotten it as to 50 point contracts - live and learn
Small contracts sell fast and sell higher
Good Luck !!!

I'd do 3, even just for advantages for you. You have the flexibility to offload a contract or two if you want in the future. That flexibility is worth a few hundred dollars to me.

Split. People always have less money and despite it being a higher cost per point, it is a lower entry point.

I would say three 50 Point contracts would sell much faster than one 150 Point contract.

Regards
Mel

While I cannot speak as a seller, as a buyer I am constantly looking for contracts under 75 points. I really don't believe in financing a timeshare purchase, so the little contracts, even though they cost more per point, allow me to buy in smaller increments to add to my membership. I snagged two contracts (one 25 points and another 35 points) within an hour of them both being posted on different sites. I am one of MANY who stalks the pages for these smaller contracts on the daily, so I'd say yes definitely split them up, but as has already been mentioned, you will want to keep track of the contracts that qualify you for your Blue Card benefits so that you don't lose those accidentally.

I plan on purchasing at Poly2 when it comes up for sale and will definitly split them into different contracts. Good Luck!

Agree with this approach. I am not even in the market but when I see those small contracts I debate purchasing b/c I potentially could. Even at 75 points I think wow, that is a lot of money. Some resales sites have dedicated pages to smaller contracts.
